Can any of you ladies recommend a brand of workout pants, preferably legging type (at the knee), that are NOT transparent?? I can't seem to find a pair that isn't see through when I squat or do deadlifts! It's embarrassing! I've tried cotton and the dri-fit fabric, and neither seems to be 100% opaque. Any suggestions? I guess I could go commando and not wear any underwear, but I wouldn't feel comfortable...

I'm pretty sure the whole gym has seen my white ass through my pants during my deadlifts and rows. Oops. I have one pair of under armour capris that isn't transparent on top. I think this is the pair I have:

As a trainer, I spend a lot of time looking at people's bums - both men and women. [See note below] Yes, tights are often transparent, so we'll see if you have g-strings, go commando, or wear polka-dot panties (yes, I have seen this).
The compression tights are said to be very comfortable, they however will encourage men to check you out (which you may like or not, but just be aware of it). From a purely practical point of view, I recommend loose stretchy shorts or track pants. These allow comfort and effective training.
Likewise, I would recommend t-shirts rather than singlets or sport bra-tops.
It actually does seem to make a difference to lifting performance. I've yet to see anyone get a personal best while wearing booty shorts. People just seem to be more motivated while wearing drab "serious" gear.
[Note - many guys on learning my profession will start drooling embarrassingly and say, "what a great job you have." I assure you that while your first look up and down of a person can be an appreciative one - we're not blind - once they start lifting it becomes purely technical. We're not blind, we're just focusing on other stuff, like your exercise technique.]

If you have the money Lululemon. . . if you don't Marika.

I have a dozen of this style, but in black. These are my favorite capri/workout pants, in fact, I'm wearing them right now. I'm tall, so they hit me a tiny bit below the knee.
I wear them for working on the farm, for playing, for shopping, practically every day. They're a little pricey, but they're flattering (lift and separate the backside), comfortable, and they last and last. I will cry if these are ever discontinued.

It's all a matter of wearing what you are comfortable in Personally, I train my ass off, grunt, swear and sweat buckets but I like to wear nice clothes. For leggings, the Lululemon Zoom Run tights are the best I've tried. At the moment I am mainly wearing shorts with built in undershorts as it has been sooooo hot in the gym.

Nike does have good fitness gear, and the pants last forever. Since my thighs rub most pants start to thin out or rip in the inner thigh area but nike pants I had them for 2 years and they never ripped in the middle. I still have those pants but I grew out of the style of them but I ran probably over 500 miles with them on.
