i started out as a skinny tall guy and bulked for around 5 months until I reached 230 pounds (keep in mind I am 6'1 so it did not look like I was that fat) I am now cutting the fat away.. should i stop cutting once i am 180 pounds or will that look bad since I am tall?

When you are lean enough, dont worry about a specific number as it looks different on everyone. 6'1 isnt exactly tall, its pretty heavy (fat), and if you have to cut 50 lbs you are most likely obese.
There is always someone less fortunate, with real hunger, with real adversity, who made something of themselves. What is your excuse?
