    Deadlift training?

    Well i took a break from powerlifting and went back to a bit of bodybuilding but i am quite young and want to smash up some training!

    So i want to ask you, in your opinion what would be the best/reliable program for me to gain strength quickly in the big 3?(deadlift moreso, its my best lift srs)

    All help is appreciated, i would like to get some strength while i'm young and take it from there, nomsayin?

    If your deadlift is your best lift then you shouldn't focus on that. You should focus on your weaker lift.

    How long have you been training, what routines have you done, etc?

    fauurrrk thats true also but i want to gain immense strength in all my lifts, i've already done SS and don't really want to go back into it again.. don't enjoy the 1x5 deadlift it sux

    You missed my edit. I never really read your post fully and then went back and saw you were already into powerlifting. I say bill starrs 5x5 now. However, there's no deadlift, so if you really don't like that, 5/3/1 has deadlift in it.

    I'm really liking "Dinosaur Training" by Brooks Kubik at the moment.

    I find that my deadlift responds best to low volume and very heavy singles. Last workout, for example, went like this (with a max of 475lbs):

    135x1
    225x1
    315x1
    405x1
    455x1

    And that was it. I add weight/reps/sets when I can, but always work up heavy. Once a weight like 455 feels easy (when it felt hard before), I know my max went up.

    Ah i see and thats the same with me, my lifts respond all best to heavy singles training; its also my favorite way of training!
