    Ugh my brain hurts...

Studying A+ hardware guide for Comp TIA exams, so many techie terms in the head. Time to pick things up and put them down.

Life seems so much simpler in the squat rack : )

Those lousy exams have you memorizing outdated terms for ancient equipment. What a joke!

I know right my book is from 2010 and some of the stuff is hardly relevant any more. I mean technology changes that fast its ridiculous. This is definitely a field of non stop keeping up and buying books doing research the rest of my life.

I'm sure somebody somewhere is still using token ring. Seriously though, they test you on a lot of stuff you'll never use. I had to take the Server + to get HP Self Provider a while back, it was a joke, especially since it was mainly for swapping out bad RAM.

The old stuff is still relevant to a point though. Looking at it from a business stand point there is a budget when setting up shop. And hey if an old piece of equipment can do the job that is probably what they will want. If all you need a printer for is black and white spread sheet reports than an old serial port printer will do the job just fine.

When our teacher showed us an old serial mouse I started laughing I don't know if I have ever seen one before and I am almost 38 lol.

I had to get Novell Netware certified long ago when our company was migrating from Banyan Vines to Netware.
