So i recently noticed 1 cup of cooked brown rice when i measure it is only 4oz. When i look at label it says 1 cup of cooked brown rice is 6.9oz. Which should i go by cup or the scale for more accuracy?
Even checked online, same thing http://www.calorieking.com/foods/cal...duIHJpY2U.html
I've always used just measuring cup, but i'm thinking my macros are off a bit now. (I eat brown rice 2-3x per day).

measuring dry is what matters...not after cooked that makes no difference if its bigger or not....? right? my brown rice says 1/4 cup is 140 cals, measure 1/4 with measuring cup... if i cook that isnt it still 140 cals after its cooked?
dont know what a rice cooker is, i just use a pan and a certain method with time and water.Last edited by jblue2124; 01-22-2009 at 06:55 PM.
