I had fish and chips. The only people in the bar were 60 year olds. They were pretty friendly, but too old. I guess I'll have to try another one, but how do you know which bars are going to have females vs. which ones won't?

Why not just bar hop around? You can just do a solo-style crawl having 1 drink at each bar, meeting new people at each one and getting progressively more drunk each one you go to, must be able to meet people doing this..

That would work downtown where the bars are closer... but this one was at an iso location close to my house so I could walk. Downtown has cops and stuff though and when I drink I mean I really drink.Originally Posted by StevePT

I went again to a different place. There wasn't many people there either. Tried to talk to one lady, but she blew me off. Bar tenders were friendly though. I guess I'm going to have stay up past my bedtime, put on some nice clothes, and go at night.

It went pretty well. There were a ton of girls there. Looking back I missed some opportunities... next time I need to be more aggressive, on the spot, and less drunk. Most of the time I just talked to the bartenders and this girl who had a bf. Maybe a waste of time, but still good conversation for someone who can use practice. By the end I was so hammered and the bar was so crowded I asked/told some girl to get a drink for me from the bartender.... and she did it. That's the biggest opportunity that I missed, IMO.
Hungover as hell today though. That sucks.

op, i just graduated college a few months ago. Its crazy how when you go to many bars, most have really old ppl., Most are my rents age or even older. Some of the older folks are sick kunts, but nevetheless it is a lil weird. How yucky can you get with ppl who have 30 years on u.
you need to go to specific places in ur city, say downtown or a college area.

I am 30. Last night there were a ton of people 21-30 or so. And a few older people. I didn't really feel out of place. At first I sat at the bar and talked to the bartenders and this other guy who worked there and I recognized from going for lunch. Then when it got packed I find the people I sort of know and just stood/sat talked to them.... then I saw someone else I knew and chatted with them.Originally Posted by Acard

What's the big deal? Guess who girls mostly know........ other girls. Some girls legit want to help their friends, so maybe you meet more girls via the one who "friendzoned" you.
If one girl friendzones you there are a 100 other out there. That is what I learned last night. Talked to a bunch of them. Some of them were bitchy, some of them were friendly. Some of them had boyfriends who stood there the entire time and said nothing while we were laughing. Like I said, I missed some opportunities (beer girl).
First time I went out to a place that was packed though. Granted I was hammered, but I'm getting more comfortable and more relaxed. I got a little nervous as I was leaving my house, but I'm starting to realize the nerves never go away... you just get more comfortable dealing with them. Kind of like Russel Crowe's character in A Beautiful Mind. I suppose it will get easier, but it's perfectly normal.
Last week I met with a girl I know through work I have a crush on and damn I was nervous. She was still responsive and smiled. Next time I talk to her on the phone I'm going to try to ask her to lunch... if it goes well I'll ask for her cell number.
