Change in Optimum Nutrition 100% whey?

I went to my local Edge Nutrition to buy some more protein. The employee working there told me that ON had changed their formula when prices of protein increased and now uses soy protein in their Gold Standard Whey. He recommended BMF Hardcore Just Whey. I searched online and couldn't find anything about the formula change. Any truth to this or was he just trying to push the BMF Hardcore? Thanks in advance

You could have read the label yourself...

ON doesn't have soy protein in it, but there are many other proteins that are preferred to ON these days anyhow.

Well the price did go up.
I was 42.99 on bb.com
For Casein, it was 44.99 on bb.com

Now it's:

Whey: 44.99
Casein: 49.99

I'm sure the sales have decreased over the past few months due to handful of new competitors and I'm not sure if adding soy protein is the answer to getting back on top.

When they discontinued the variety pack, I had a feeling another reformulation is about to take place. I think improving the flavors (to merely keep up with the competitors) is the highest priority, and next I hope they get rid of the ion exchange method and replace that with their own patented CFM. Just as Kobe changed his beloved jersey number from 8 to 24, a simple strategic refreshment will put them back on #1 sales spot. But these giant companies are slow.

This. Kick-backs on certain brands or nearing expiration dates mean supplement sales persons cannot be trusted. Do your research before you enter the store/online site and know what you want.

HAHAHA thats funny cause im searching on here for answers to this same guy that got me to spend $41 on a 5 lb bag. big guy with gray hair in troy. btw the just whey blows. mixes like crap. going back to my ON Performance whey next time.
