What should I do with myself?

Ive been lifting weights on and off for a while but have started up and devoted myself to do it consistently. I've been doing so for 2 weeks now. I weigh 160 pounds and am 5 foot 10 and according to online body fat calculators I have 20% body fat. I'm trying to gain weight drinking protein shakes and eating chicken, steak, fish, etc. I want to get bigger while shedding my body fat. Should I be hitting the treadmill or will lifting shed the fat and turn it into muscle. I'm eating around 3000 calories a day since two weeks ago but I'm not sure if this is the right method for my goals. What percentage of my diets should be carbs, fat, protein. I drink a whey protein shake pre and post workout and a casein protein shake before bed. Any and all advice would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Are you comfortable with your waist circumference? That'd be my guiding decision. If I'm not comfortable with waist size - I cut. Forget about gaining muscle + losing fat at the same time. Do what's most efficient, which is either cut or bulk with all the concentration and discipline you can muster.

Your nutrition guides can be found here:

Unfortunately, it is very difficult to lose body fat and gain serious muscle at the same time. But since you're just starting out, you could probably do some of both for a little while. Just look around here. Keep up the good eating habits, most importantly. Good luck!
