    Losing everywhere but from midsection

    Hey,
I am currently cutting and I have been losing an alright amount of fat however I am losing fat everywhere including even my arms (increased vascularity) basically except from my midsection. I have gone down like a cm on my midsection.
I am assuming the only thing I can do about this is keep it up and eventually my body will start taking fat from my midsection?

The midsection is your bodies favorite fat storage site basically. For women I believe the body prefers hips/ass. Hence, those areas are the last to come off.

Just have to keep digging and keep pushing.

The body its designed for the wild. We weren't meant to have supermarkets and stuff where you could simply buy your food. Food (energy) was meant to be difficult to come by, therefore when you eat more than you need, your body tries to hold onto it. Don't blame your body for doing what its designed to do, blame yourself for gorging your face when you didn't have to

Haha true although bulk = inevitable fat gain.

Your mid section contains all your vital organs, whereas your limbs don't contain any vital organs and you can survive without them in the wild if worst case scenario. that's why fat is shed from the limbs first.

your body WILL get used to you trying to cut the fat so it then counteracts what you're trying to do in order to protect itself against a famine so it stores body fat. that's why it's not good to diet for so long. so then you need to rejig your metabolism and confuse your body and feed it all the nutrients it needs.

So you then need to change your cut up and perhaps try carb cycling or other methods. This will then trigger your body to respond by not storing and burning fat as it thinks that there isn't a famine any time soon.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) the body is smarter than we are.

You see, for the brief part of the interval where you are oxygen depraved you will use glucose? but during the 40-50 seconds of low intensity of the interval where you are ?resting? your body will initiate a large scale oxidation of fatty acids in order to spare glucose. Your body is VERY stingy with glycogen and WILL NOT use muscle glycogen unless it absolutely has to. So you are burning glycogen yes, but you are also burning a ton of fat. The idea that you only burn one or the other is idiocy spewed by morons."

    Novel theory.

Doesn't really apply to women though?

Of course it applies to women too. They find it just as hard, if not, harder to get visable abs.

No, Layne suggests doing HIT to burn glycogen that is stored in the muscle already during the workout. At rest, your body will burn more fat as it will want to spare this glycogen for fuel to use during your HIT sessions.

If you do LISS then you will burn fat during your workout, and at other times you're burning glycogen.

So ok you're burning more fat from your workout which lasts 20-30 minutes, the rest of the day account for another 23.5 hours, in which you are only burning glycogen. His theory suggests the reverse of this.

I lost it on legs first, I would say out of the 15lb I have left to lose, a good half or more is on chest, stomach, and back, although not so much on back as front. It's just where your body stores it the most, so it's used last.
