Look into Casein Protein, it's a slow releasing protein, also for now make a protein shake with milk before bed or some cottage cheese. I use Casein before I goto bed.

Along the lines of good protein before bed, you could eat some tastey ol' cottage cheese.
Try the Quantum body method to change things up. It'll make you hella sore.

Casein protein. Milk/cottage cheese. An actual casein supplement would be favorable, if you have the cash lying around. If not, a scoop of whey in milk with a tbsp or two of peanut butter and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese will do well. The fats slow down the absorption rate of the protein, making it a more lasting supply than quickly in and used.

I always end up waking up a few times in the middle of the night, and at least once will I come downstairs and make something to eat. If you wake up, go down stairs quick things and have some pb and milk and drag ur ass up back to bed.

protein synthesis > protein breakdown + energy = anabolic state , aim to hit macros, you'll be fine.

    Let me enlighten you,

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21045172

This study showed that immediate responses to whey and casein ingestion were different... But the end result was the same. They both stimulated protein synthesis equally.

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15570142

This study shows almost exactly the same thing. Both proteins caused equal protein synthesis.

These findings are only compounded by having solid pre workout nutrition. A quote by Alan Aragon states: "Properly done preworkout nutrition EASILY elevates insulin above and beyond the maximal threshold seen to inhibit muscle protein breakdown. This insulin elevation resulting from the preworkout meal can persist long after your resistance training bout is done. Therefore, thinking you need to spike anything is only the result of neglecting your preW nutrition".

Oh SHYT. Is this science? YES IT IS. Learn some, and stop spreading broscience.

repped, although I do remember Alan Aragon stating in some sticky that meal timing doesn't matter in general, preworkout, postworkout, anytime. Could be wrong

Look me in the eye. It's okay if you are scared, so am I, but we are scared for different reasons. I am scared of what I willn't become, you are scared of what I could become. Look at me! I will not let myself end where I started, I will not let myself finish where I begin. I know what is within me, even if you can't see it yet. Look me in the eyes, I have something more important than courage, I have patience. I will become what I know I am.
