I could make it down at least 20 flights of stairs in 5 minutes, 2 minutes to get to stairs. Making a commotion wouldn't do anything besides wasting valuable time - there would be no chance of saving anyone, they'd just think you were insane.

I already said it will take just as long. there will be people wanting to get on and get off the elevator you're on. It would take a lot longer than that.

Yeah but I'd still go as fast as possible. There's bound to be congestion in the stairs minutes after the planes hit so the sooner and farther down the better.

... Infront of all my co-workers who don't know whats about to happen I would take off all my clothes and lay them out on my work desk. I would then proceed to grab staplers/tape etc. to construct a parachute. Then I would pick up my computer monitor and throw it @ the glass window and prepare to jump. I'll either will have float down to safety and run for cover or have committed most ridiculous suicide ever known to man kind.
