Hey y'all!
I was just wondering what's the most popular opinion, maybe based on studies, as to whether protein BEFORE a workout is essential or otherwise. Sometimes I find that training first thing in the morning on an empty stomach at around 8am (after a 12 hour fast) is more convenient for my work schedule. But an acquaintance from my gym told me that not having any protein before weight-training will always lead to muscle loss in the long run.
Can you please give me any input on the above?
Gracias!

I worked out this morning with only some creatine + a greens drink in my system due to a last minute work meeting.
Got a full breakfast in about an hour and half later... no worries.
Sometimes time doesn't allow for perfection, but you have plenty of time for protein later on."When I die, I hope it's early in the morning so I don't have to go to work that day for no reason"
