Well the dividends should be on par with the growth of other businesses, not the growth of cash paying bonds. Verizon pays 7% on top of principal appreciation. And even though that appreciation isn't anything special, you're still getting more to offer than any high-yields at the end of the day.

You'll notice that most dividend stocks I post pay over 5%, WBA doesn't right now but if they can get it together then you can expect them to bring it back as soon as they can, I have much better options than WBA though and some a little better then VZ.

CCOI is a stock in the same sector as VZ that I have mentioned here a few times, it pays a dividend yield of 6.67% vs VZ 6.69% but I have targets of ~$100, ~$110 and ~$115 vs targets of ~$48 and ~$55, I'll go more in depth on CCOI later.

VZ is a great pick though and I have a target of ~$80 after the next 12 months, I think you should also check out WU, it pays over 7%.

^^^ every time I go to a pharmacy like CVS or Walgreens, I come back home and buy more Amazon stock, it’s a freaking disaster, I have to remind myself to never go there again, I have no idea how retail still exists.

Like I said, I think it's often best to play growth stocks like AMZN through options, there are a few growth stocks on that list I posted earlier that I plan to buy long term calls on.

I'll give an example of a more popular stock that I didn't list, ADBE, I'm going to be buying calls when it breaks the recent low and I'm going for a long expiration.

I'll probably be buying puts on stuff lik AMZN and NVDA but only for a little while lol.

NHS PharmacyFirst, the dividend cut, the TCMP is saving more money than expected and they have exclusive rights to distribute oteseconazole.

I'm not really a bond guy, I can get better returns selling puts and for me, it's just as safe, when I sell I'm usually trying to avoid exercise.

I saw you selling puts on sofi I think and I thought you were doing that to generate cash on your position, not buy more sofi.



I was making 15-25% selling DJT puts for 1 week expiration, I didn't want the stock, bonds can't beat that.



I got ~10% selling puts on UVV last week, those expire 6/21 and it's still better than bonds.

I do sell CSPs on positions I’d add to when they tank. Then when they rebound and expire worthless it’s usually a good time to sell calls. I’ve only gotten upside down once or twice which is pretty solid and only needed an extra roll each of the 3 times it happened. I don’t really want assignment on either puts or calls, but with puts at least I am always prepared to do so.

Fnma pref gang we feasting this last week. Up an extra 10Gs this past week. No idea what is driving this move. Commons certainly aren’t sharing in the fun.

I might lose up to 100 probably trading it back to balance things out, but I wrangled a lot of reds together to put it on the earnings and I'm not disappointed and probably shouldn't look back.
