Edit: in MotoGP this weekend, three of the sprint race leaders crashed out of first place, and the lead changed so many times during the Sunday race you can't keep count unless you go back and tally the passes lol.

IDGAF about “iconic” and “prestige” and whatever other bs words F1 wants to use to justify this race staying on the calendar, this race needs to fking go immediately. Even more of a snooze than Imola was, especially after pit stops were basically deleted after the red flag. Until they shrink the cars by half, this race is absolutely fking stupid. Also Sainz needs to go blow someone in the stewards room for letting him restart P3 because there’s no way he deserved that.

This race can easily be fixed if they remove that stupid chicane after the tunnel then you have a long ass straight and a proper DRS zone.

Otherwise Monaco is good only for Qualy.

But I blame F1 more than the track. The cars are huuuge, a GOAT like Imola looking like a **** track proves that the cars are the problem. The sport has become waaaay too ghey and main focus is ghey rights and oil money nowadays rather than actually fixing the racing.

SRS considering to stop watching F1 in favour of MotoGP only. Even the good F1 races aren't on par with a trash MotoGP race.

The Verstappen vs. Hamilton championship year was one of the best years in the entire F1 history though, and you got to witness that live.

RBR just sucks on bumpy tracks and is still win capable. There are more smooth tracks on the calendar so it is somewhat safe.

Really depends on the subreddit. The more political a subreddit the more compromised it probably is. I generally avoid the place altogether unless it's for some very specific games that I like to play.

I was thinking about that when they renewed Perez..... Daniel is old, and lacks performance - AND they aren't ever going to put him in the best car? So what are they even doing? His seat should be for some random 22 year old who could maybe become a racer, which is the opposite of Daniel.

They were ruthless with drivers when they were the 2nd/3rd fastest team. They're top dogs now so the rules have changed. They have figured out that Max destroys his opponents and someone like Checo being the #2 driver is probably the best option right now for RBR. The amount of (considerable) money Checo brings in more than makes up for the loss in prizemoney from losing the constructors championship, and losing the constructors gives them more windtunnel time allocation. Smarter not harder.

Daniel's bubbly personality and constant smile are fantastic for sponsors. Plain and simple. That, coupled with the fact that for whatever fking reason Horner is obsessed with him, is why he still has a seat. At this point I have no doubt Lawson would outperform him almost immediately.

Perez brings a ridiculous amount of sponsors as well. And apparently through their marketing research they've shown that he sells an asinine amount of Red Bull energy drinks too, so that doesn't hurt.

Horner is a careerist. He saved ass not getting fired by having the support of the Thais, who he now owns them. Likely Thai daddy wants sponsor money which is why Horner kept Daniel and Perez.

After RBR-daddy died, Marko is no longer the driver's manager. Otherwise Daniel and Perez would have gone even this year. The team is slowly becoming more business than passion now.
