BRB calling cellphone company for insane savings (If you havent done this - DO IT!)
So my boss always sits in his office calling around trying to get lower prices/deals on chit, I had some free time today so I was like phuk it let's give it a shot.
-My cell bill usually 95+tax a month (yes a lot but I have everything)
-Call and ask to lower bill - girl says it's as low as it can go -I say ok I'd like to cancel
-She calls my bluff and tells me it'll be $400 to get out of contract - I call her bluff and say 'do you need my credit card?'
Anyways she transfers me to the 'loyalty department'... Guy automatically cuts my bill down to 60+tax a month... I say I still want to cancel, he throws in $100 off my next bill... I say 'hmmmm but I wanted the iphone 5 too'.... He rebates me for the iphone5, waves the early upgrade fee, waves the admin fee and BOOM f-16 just picked up his free iPhone5 tonight with no contract extension.
Brb selling iphone 4 tomorrow and coming out way on top

Same **** worked for me when I was with AT&T. They never want to lose business and usually will at the very least discount your bill just for calling. They hate it even worse when you tell them you are going with another provider who better meets your needs. You would be surprised what you can get with just a phone call and a little persuasion.

Yea, I spent 3 hrs on the phone with Sprint a couple months ago just trying to get an early upgrade because my phone broke. This will not work for them.

and usually if a company can go out of there way liek this it means they were raping ur ass for years before.
and/or you are a high valued customer and they know they can gape money outta your angus for a lot more.

my mom was a customer for rogers (canadian wireless company) for 10 years and when she wanted to switch providers because rogers charged her too much for stuff she didn't need, they offered her unlimited everything for $30 a month. she didn't take it though cause she doesn't use data, sends like 5 texts and uses maybe 10 mins of call time a month

This works. I called one time when I got my new phone because it had all these stupid fees. I told them that it didn't say that on their website and they waved them all. I saved like 200 dollars

what carrier are you with? i knew a woman who worked at a rogers call center. she told me that they are trained to do everything to stop you from cancelling your contract. she said that her mangers & rogers told her to give the customer everything they wanted so they don't cancel their contract.

It worked for me for XM radio. I got a free radio I sold on Ebay right before they went under. They would give me the month free everytime I called and mentioned cancelling. Your provider might be hurting for cash and they're already out the cost of your phone they need those monthly payments!

Eveyone has a $250 limit they could give you depending on if that reprasinative wants to or not.
Im sure the retention has about $500 or so to play with.
You can also ask to talk with "there boss" and they have a $500 and it wont be a xfer it will be someone sitting near them waiting for "escalations"
