I'm under eating, so I gotta figure that out. My fat is high, but protein maybe too low? Tonight, I was hungry first time in forever a ( well, 8 days...) and I had an open package of beef jerky from Thursday when co-worker was hungry. He only ate a little, but man, I demolished the rest super fast only 2 hours after my 'dinner!' LOL. I think I definitely have neanderthal DNA. I do very well with way too much protein for normal folks. I could eat 75% of my meals as protein and be happy! LOL

the beef jerky hit the spot and I'm good now.

I have a pork roast I can cook w/ an onion ( they seem so small... like a roast for a hobbit, lol), so that may help. Early this week, the meals were chicken and now it's been beef. I'm ready to move on. I was going to get ribs, but store was packed Friday. I'll go tomorrow after work and see if any are left. I'll cycle back to chicken Tuesday.

** I forgot to add - today is off due to gardening in the heat. 94 degrees and intense labor, not a good combo.

13 pounds lost since I started. I'm sure bulk of it was water weight. I feel really light, but constipation hit this week, lol.

My blood pressure was down. I'm routinely 120/80, was 120/82 last visit 2 weeks ago at Doctors. I think it was 106/76 today, but I forgot to write it down when they said it. heart rate -resting was 60.

    so far today...

I bought 2 steaks today, gonna have half for dinner and I still have half my keto mac n cheese left, so maybe a serving of it.

3 very large glasses of water with lemon as well today. The heat is brutal and I didn't eat until 12:30 pm due to going to doctor's this morning. So I bought beef jerky to prevent blood sugar drop. I forgot to add that into fitday, doing that now.

Salmon bombs are perfect! really balanced me out when I got home after approx. 16 hours fasting.

w/ beef jerky, my numbers so far today are:

    778 calories 119.2 fat 27.4 carbs 70.0 protein

I am definitely part Neanderthal... I thrive on a high meat diet. I feel like I'm 25, not 47!

yesterday was fat overload, so back to my 'normal' diet today:

since it's Sunday, I splurged on a steak on sale at Kroger this week. Yum!

yesterday was insane! I gotta track my fats better. In my defense, i got a lot of cheese on sale and was trying to use it up.. plus my keto mac and cheese as well as salmon bombs are aging . So, I want to use them before they turn bad. I'm going to have to figure out how I can freeze this stuff... but my freezer is stuff currently:

Thanks for the info. ! It did give me mild ingestion though!

I'm a sucker for deals. I bought a lot of cheese half price, so I'm wallowing n it now. I ate half a brie portion today as 1st meal around 11 am.

then, I had burger followed by green beans around 4:30 pm

My dinner was my last portion of leto mac n cheese ( zomg, yum!) so I'm at about 1061 calories/79 fat /17 carbs 70 protein

I think I under ate today because yesterday was so filling:

    steak ( 2nd portion)
    green beans

true north almond pecan crunch - I bought these pre-keto and could not give them away... they are too yummy and delish. I ate 3 servings to finish bag.

    lettuce
    blue cheese wedge
    blue cheese dressing 2 tablespoon
    3 chicken drum legs

    1526 calories 105 fat 44 carbs 101 protein

I have energy, I feel full and a feel lean even though I have a belly! LOL odd statement, but I definitely feel less bloated.

I hurt my foot, so no cardio. gonna see how it goes tomorrow morning

I want to hit the gym, but I have to be careful of my knee until more weight is off. I know I'll overdo it and mess it up unless I pace myself.

I'm totally over devil eggs for a while, but will start hard boiling them when I'm off friday and hit the stores again for shopping.

so, I was dying for some spare ribs, but no one had any in the shops by me like the ones my Mom used to make. I ended up getting a rack of ribs and slow cooked them. I used a rub made of 'Tony Chachere's original Creole seasoning' approx 2 tablespoons - 0 carbs. All the legit bar b q rubs were super expensive & the sauces were all sugar based so sauce was out. I bought this seasoning a while ago for gumbo & thought I'd give it a whirl.

Ribs cooked for 2 hours total, but 1 hour in, I sprayed just a tad of olive oil on top to help the outer portion crust over to seal the meat. They came out fall of the bone good! I have a new fav meal. I'll make them again in a few weeks.

I weighed portions as is, then bones after to confirm portion size

You should try baking/broiling them after to get them crispy.

I've done something similar with wings in the slow cooker for the past few weeks. Literally my favorite meal and I pretty much do the same steps. Put wings in slow cooker, bottle of Franks Red hot and 3/4 stick butter. 1 hr on high, 1 hr on low, then 30 minutes in the oven. Unbelievable.

I saw your wing recipe and plan to try it out sometime! thanks I'm going to try your pizza/casserole this Friday. Thanks bunches for posting them, it's super helpful

side note: I was super happy today, someone left cake out and I never touched it. I turned down a cookie today and yesterday as well.

I 've got to go back to using coconut milk and I'll try guc instead of hummus.

the hummus was an impulse buy ( it was half off!).

My clothes are getting very loose , so I'll be excited to see what weight loss I have Friday at Doctor's. She's monitoring my blood pressure. Mom (late) and brother both have high blood pressure. Both were heavy and carried it high. But, I think the diff between me and them is 1) I think sleeping is as important as eating, so your body can recover & get hormones and 2) I lifted weights religiously in my 20s 5 days a week including holidays. I did it off /on in 30s and briefly when turning 40. I need to get back to being disciplined, but first I want to lose the weight, so I can control hunger.

I want my 20s body back, lol. curvy muscular. My legs never jiggled when walking like now.

My overall goal is 150 pounds - my weight in high school, the lowest I recall was 135 at age 15, when I went full figure/adult size between junior high and high school. so I have a way to go. Just tired of being big. It's depressing and self defeating at same time.

that said, I'm going to start boiling my eggs right now so I have them for extra protein.

Going to buy my own weight scale because one at doctors, they made me use a different one and 2 pounds loss for 2 weeks seems a bit off. Blood pressure is great 107/70. I forgot to ask resting pulse.

I am totally honest about what I eat and track in fitday. I'm even on web sites getting their info to calculate stuff like when I had the zaxby salad minus toast etc.

I feel more like I lost 20 pounds, not just 15, but that's better than expected because fitday projected me being at this weight AUG 5, so I hit it 2 weeks early.

I'm going to have cheese something later, to boost my fats. Going food shopping tomorrow,it was too late in afternoon and the heat here was oppressive.

oh, I forgot I added fat to egg via heavy cream, just a dash and it was cooked in butter, so yeah fats are a bit higher.

Today, I bought 6 pound weights, 10s were so heavy, lol. I want to start doing arms curls, chess press, etc using my 'The Firm' work outs. I like my bike, but want variety when I hit a 6 week platue and my body adjusted

I under ate yesterday ( 1150 calories and I just wasn't hungry) , so I ate my breakfast today at 8:30 am vs 11 am. less fasting time. My mood dropped after lunch and I felt really drained and tired for first time since starting. but, I'm getting up after 5 am, not 7 am like I've grown used to in past 6 months, covering for someone at work. I took a 5 minute nap when I got home and caught a 2nd wind much more feeling normal - keto normal again.

I've been working nearly 6 days weeks for a while, so being off next week might be more of a challenge, but I have energy and lots of yard work to do, so I should manage.

omg, stevia stinks! what a nasty taste it has!

I spent over an hour making keto cheese danish - coconut flour, almond flour with mozzarella cheese. The gooey inside was cream cheese and stevia.. what a waste. I ate one, but next day, it was all I could do to choke it down.

My doctor said equal tastes better, so I'm going to try it next time.

The recipe is was from up late at night, a keto blog

I LOVE Diet DR pepper, but this stevia stuff is rank!

I also discovered 'Arctic Ice' ice cream. I was dying for ice cream since it's summer and found it to cure my hankering. It also has a after taste, but I added chopped up salt & pepper peanuts on top, just 1 ounce as the salt& pepper with the peanut oil cover the fake sweetener taste!

Doctor's visit today, I lost 5 pounds in 2 weeks! yay! I am officially back to where I was about 3 years ago!

My BP was up a little bit 122/84, but work called me on my off day in case they needed help - I'm working tomorrow - my last official day of vacation, so my stress response went up.

I love my job and enjoy it, but my stress went sky high for about 5 minutes, so I think it impacted my readings about 1 hour later. Plus, the heat here is horrible. 93 degrees and feels hotter.

my temp was 99.1 so I have a mild fever... yikes.

    today:

    arby's side salad 1

    serving
    70 5.0 4.0 5.0
brown sugar blt no bun 1

    serving
    500 32.0 39.0 26.0
    bullet coffee 1

    serving
    100 5.0 1.0 0.0

    670 calories 42.0 fats 44.0 carbs 31.0 protein

no bun for the sandwich and no dressing on salad. I think my carbs are lower than that, but I also did not sit down to eat until nearly 4 pm.

My heavy cream coffee kept me from feeling hungry and I never had a sugar response ( low sugar which makes you woozy )

I got asparagus at krogers, so I've been eating that with steak and 1 ounce blue cheese all week. I also sauteed and then cooked squash/zucchini, a little bit of (purple?) onions, red & green peppers and a few carrots - just to sweeten the pot. I'm careful of carrots and onions now due to their sugar response.

Last night I had Zaxby's 10 piece wings, celery and I skipped the ranch dressing because I had the sauce already. The wings were very keto friendly, but I prefer 3 Dollar Cafe Wings - the way they cook the skin, I can eat it. The Zaxby's chicken skin was rubbery at spots... yuck. I want it crisp. So, game plan is to hit grocery store and make my own this week some time.

I'm convinced I'm insulin resistant. I only lost 20 pounds, but look like I lost a ton more!

Sad note is my boobs deflated, lol ( of course!0 so I've started using hand weights and did upper body - arm curls, kick backs, chess press, overhead press , modified butterfly for pecs ( love those!) and the one with weight over head to get fat off back of arms? i forget name.

the good news is my arms and legs will bounce back. I'm not super flabby there. I just have to lose slow so my tummy recedes on it's own no hanging skin. Doc wants m to lose faster, but there's no way...

I under ate diner last night

3 eggs dash of heavy cream for fat, I'd guess 2 tablespoons
    2 ounces cheddar
    2 tbsp salsa
    2 slices bacon

Lunch was mixed veggie left overs - zucchini, squash etc with 4 ribs - st Louise style - dry spice rub

by 10 pm, I was hungry! so I had 3 ribs and some asparagus.

I think I under drank my coffee w/ heavy cream, so less fat= hunger

I'm hoping to start gym work out maybe in a month and lift for realz. I miss and love lat pulls, seriously my fav.

I fasted until 10:30 am and had beef jerky - I know, bad! but dang, I was hungry and it was there!

lunch about 2 pm was a burger, peas and carrots

I cleaned out my closet this weekend and old clothing going to charity this Friday...and I have a lot of my old clothes so I don't have to go shopping right away! woot!

barely any indigestion and no acid reflux ( knock on wood). I just have to watch my fats, if I go overboard, it kills me. LOL. *I cannot use cream with eggs, add cheese *and* tbs sour cream, way to much dairy for me!*

I am soooo excited! Pants I couldn't wear when I started this - I wore them today and the waist was falling off me!!!! I have to get a belt this weekend ( I hate belts...)

Last week pants I wore with elastic waist were falling off around my hips! The extra weight just melts off!

My face , neck, arms and legs are much thinner, just belly fat now and it's slowly melting away!

I saw a BEAUTIFUL cup cake in break room today, all alone.... 'I was like, oh how pretty...' but felt no desire to eat it. Why? it wasn't 1 cupcake, but hundreds of them! I really had no desire for it! I am amazed!

also- co-worker started counting calories and dieting 5 weeks ago. I'm at week 6 going to be week 7 in 2 days. I lost 20 pounds as of last friday.. she lost 10!

I've doubled the weight loss by keto! ( I have not weighed myself since last friday.. so no idea current weight)

    absolutely amazing.

    today:

Sunflower seeds, hulled, dry roasted 2

    oz
    330 28.2 13.6 11.0
Chocolate, dark, 70-85% cacao solids 0.75

    oz
    127 9.1 9.8 1.7
    Peanuts 1

    individual package (1.25 oz)
    206 17.6 7.1 8.6
    Pork, cooked 5

    oz, boneless, cooked
    335 19.5 0.0 37.1
    Squash, summer, cooked 1

    cup, diced
    71 4.0 9.0 1.9

    * the sunflower seeds were left over in an open package sitting curled up in my kitchen cabinet so I decided to eat them today.

    Totals 1069 78.4 39.5 60.2

no idea about dinner, not hungry yet. I may do some eggs & cheese. I was going to make beef/parm meatballs ( parm inplace of bread crumbs , molded with egg) , but the ground meat was weird looking contact spot ( like dried out?) , so dogs get it with diner over next few days.

I actually stopped tracking my foods daily because I found I was always full. No more binge snacking/eating.

Years ago, I heard sugar was an addiction and this many weeks in being low carb, dang - I have to agree!

I had same for dinner last night. I started cooking my steaks with butter. This was a steak split into 2 meals. zomg, ...so yummy. I'm never having steak without butter ever again.

yes, artic zero has 7 carbs, but I cannot afford an ice cream maker yet to make the keto custard ice cream that only has 1-2 carbs...so it'll make do for now.

My legs have thinned out so much!!! it actually is causing an issue because my arms and legs are thin, but my huge belly is slowly loosing. I have to find elastic pants, lol.

I've been doing arms curls, kick backs, chest press, overhead, modified butterfly for pecs and overhead dumbbell extensions.

I found my weight lifting gloves ( I had callouses for years ) so I prefer the gloves for better grip. and I had to stitch them up. they were tore up bad. I'll buy new ones soon. Hitting the gym this week.... scared yet excited. I love lat pulls and look forward to them. They are my fav by far.

I'm not tracking as I was because I'm not cheating.

today was a pork chop and spinach followed by 5 squares of 70% dark chocolate about 30 minutes later? ( my cheat... I call it 'dirty keto, lol), coffee with heavy cream... I lifted weights during lunch break *worked from home*

My knee is slowly starting to become more and more flexible.

dinner - around 7 pm was the Italian casserole. Huge, huge helping. massive even. side salad with Italian dressing , cracked pepper and a touch of parm cheese for flavor.

My only regret was I had trapped air in my stomach after eating, so I paid for filling it up. lol. I had gone about 9 hours or more w/o eating between meals

Right now I'm sipping on water with lemon - my 2nd mason jar filled up so far today.

I haven't had even 1 single carb craving.

I found a cream cheese pancake recipe I'm going to try this weekend.

My freezer & fridge is filled with veggies, steak, assorted meats and salad.

I brought Himalayan salt and will test it out when I break open my wok for a stir fry later this week.

life is good. in fact it's awesome. No more blood sugar up and down ( feeling near faint or ill), no stress because the weight is literally melting off. I have not weighed myself, but my pants that DID NOT FIT me 2 months ago are hanging down off me.

I cannot wear adult pants, I have to wear JUNIOR pants because my legs have leaned out so much. LOL!

work outs are great. 8 pounds felt heavy when I started and now they're solid. 10 pounds make we put effort into moves. I was using 15 pounds before I quit before, so I'm slowly scaling back to my old level.

I cannot touch the floor yet to do a proper dead lift, but I can get awful close. I'll call them 'cheating dead lifts' since I lower weight from waist near ground, then back up to waist, then chest then overhead.

I'm working on knee with lunges - just body weight for now.

I wish I could bottle this feeling - it's wild. I can see myself leaning out and I'm like dang, I knew you were under there!!! half my co-worker did not see me many years ago when I lifted They had no idea and are used to the heavier me. The human body is an incredible machine. Life is good, but right now, dang, it's really good!
