Arrow Sticky Thread Sticky: The Official Ov35 Bench Press Thread!

May as well throw this one out there so we have all 3 major lifts represented. :) Open to ideas as to how things should run but here's how I see it..... - must be Flat BB Bench only (using an OLY bar). No Incline Bench, Decline Bench or DBs. - Raw lifts only. No shirted benching. (wrist...

Cutting...just tell me

I'm not talking "cutting" to generically lose weight. I'm talking cutting to get from a moderate bodyfat% to a low bodyfat%. I want to hear from guys who have cut to 12% or lower. So I got it in my mind that I was going to cut from 15% down to 12% (or lower) because I wanted to get rid of...

Getting Back into it After a 10yr Hiatus

Hi all. Back in high school / college, I was pretty hard core into working out and ate like a scientist (counted every gram of protein/fat/carb). I am naturally a fairly thin guy (very fast metabolism), but At my best I was around 195lbs at just under 6ft with pretty low body fat. I was pretty...

Lightbulb Where do I start?

In 18 days I will be 37. I have been trying to change my life around in time for 40. This started at 35. Most of my "40 bucket list" items are not important for this thread, but there were a few health related items. One was to stop smoking cigarettes, which I had smoked since I was 18. Well I...

Building the quadriceps/teardrop muscle on the thighs

Barring the hack squat machine (which I don't have access to), what's the next best way to build your quadriceps on the thighs? I don't have much mass to begin with, so I'm just focusing on squats.

Zinc Q's

What are your experiences with zinc supplementation? I've been taking D, C, Mag, B 6, E, multi's, EFA's in various degrees for many years (some supplementing with Vit A and iron, but I already get enough in my diet). I'm assuming most people here at least consider D and EFA's maybe a multi/...

Bodybuilding - better results w/o pressing, squats, DL's?

Read many articles by bodybuilders/professionals: "OH pressing not an effective shoulder builder." "Stop benching for chest development." "Squats and DL's overrated for bodybuilding" Do you think you can build a better physique (more muscle) without these lifts than with them?

Medical reasons or suggestions that prevent muscle growth?

All my life since 16 to 40+ years old I've always had a physical limit around 140 lbs lean. I can get fat but I can't put on more muscle. I can lose the muscle and grow it back very quickly, as much as 20 lbs in a year. But I can not break my mass limit no matter how many years I put in to trying....
