See you at the Connecticut.
Hopefully it's run better than last year. It was very unorganized, started extremely late, and there ended up being virtually no break between prejudging and the finals.

Yea man. It will be good to meet you. I hope its organized better this year. I hate the lateness.....screws up everything with timing. And that break between is key IMOP. Im gonna be racing to get there.....out of the house at 5 AM to make it there by 10.
It will be interesting to see how many of the giants I faced show up to this show......its only an hour or two away from the Mass show, I believe."Who the Son sets free is free indeed....."

Sorry to be slow with the updates, guys. I was slacking! What a difference a week can make. The show was great. It was VERY similar to last week bc it was only an hour away from the MA show. VERY tough!! Holey cow that pro card is getting to be a real challenge! Anyways, I lost another pound through a painful week of depletion and did a VERY mild carb up. I cmame in as a LIGHT weight! First time for everything. It was a BIG class......don't rem exact but it was over 10 guys. ill give a full report later with pics (got some good ones) later when I'm not on my phone. But the short is that I looked my best ever.....hard, full, vascular and yes.....with the tanning method ......finally ......DARK! I was so happy when I saw the pics after pre_j! I wound up the lightweight champion and got beat in the overall by the middle weight who won last weeks middle class. This week I was MUCH more competitive IMOP but he got me. He had the whole package......big,lean, x-frame. Congrats to him. I was disappointed in the loss but again this show taught me more. I get one more crack in two weeks.

Awesome Oak!
LIGHTWEIGHT!?! lol just seems so crazy to me!
Your a true inspiration to me and im sure to many other users, keep grinding out these comps with better attitude/knowleadge after each one. Your always back on track right after, with horns facing forwards and charging away!
Cant wait for ur write up/pics
As always kill it these next two weeks!
P.S. I placed 2nd out of a group of 7 teens last night. Not bad for self prep/first timer! I wanted the gold but I have to realize that the cards dont always unfold the way u want them. Besides it was a super tough NPC show, and I still got a big trophy . Im going to enjoy this weekend, then its back to the grind for the INBA show in 4wks!

Congratulations Sean! Sounds like a tough show and to take your class and 2nd overall is quite an accomplishment. Your work ethic, desire, and humility are always motivational. Keep up the great work and go get it in two weeks!

Congrats yet again Oak! You're racking up quite the collection of class wins in the INBF aren't ya?
I'm looking forward to hearing the details about your depletion and mild carb up and PARTICULARLY your new tanning method. I'm one of the few humans that are as white as you and I can use all the help I can get in that department!

THanks!! The lightweights were a bit heavier at this show. 165 was the cut-off. I weighed in at 164.75! Phew! Had I weighed in as a middle again, who knows what might have happened.....well, I definitely wouldn't havent placed higher than 2nd. The middles were a very tough class.
That is FANTASTIC!!!! I placed 2nd at my first show as well. I was very happy....you should be too. The first time out is such a huge learning time, you really cant expect to get it all right. The next one you will be better....leaner, more knowledge, etc. Go get it, now!!! And dont enjoy the weekend toooo much. I had some fun last night. Im up about 2-3 lbs from my depleted weight now its back to the grind.
Well, i dont want to say I was definitely 2nd because I havent seen the score cards. This is just going by my wife's assessment and the pics. The heavy and light heavy were lacking a touch of conditioning and the bantam, although hard as nails and very muscular....I think lacked a little symetry and aesthetics. If I wasnt in 2nd, I probably would have put the bantam in 2nd. Either way....it was a good showing and a good overall.
But thank you!!
Thanks guys!
I think this is only my 2nd class win in the INBF. The other class win was in the OCB. But yes, i am happy....God has been blessing the prep and as long as He does, im gonna keep pushing it until the end!
The mild carb up I think was my best peak strategy to date. I think I tend to get slightly watery with the excess carbs.....I dont know if its spillage or just that I hold a little extra water for some reason. My glutes arent as crisp and my mid section fades a bit. I was noticing a little of this even yesterday towards the night show. I basicly ran diet numbers through the whole week.....I was gonna go right through until saturday after weigh ins without the extra carbs but Eric talked me into an extra 150g on friday night. I felt it was risky with the weigh in being so close......he advised me to cut water off saturday morning with mild carbs prior to the scale and then start chugging right after. Well, it worked! Had a 1/4 lb to spare too! Heck, I could have an extra couple rice cakes!
AS for the tan. I found that the dream tan doesnt lay on my skin like it does for other people.....must be something with the dryness or whatever. It would get very chalky and caky when I applied enough to be dark. Otherwise, i was just too light. So....on a whim last show .....out of desperation at the night show....I mixed my dream tan 2 with pam cooking spray. It went on silky smooth and layed down really nicely with an extra sheen that really made me pop on stage. It looked fantastic. So for this show I did one coat of protan the night before, showered morning of, added another coat of PT and then my DT/Pam concoction. My color was spot on with everyone else on stage and finally you could actually see the definition in the lights! I was so happy just on that note alone. Ill post the pics when I get back to my home computer. No card slot on this hotel computer!"Who the Son sets free is free indeed....."

Hey Sean, I've gotta ask you, what method are you using to apply DT#2? I've heard of similar complaints and these are people that are just rubbing it in. You've GOTTA use the slap method. Not only does it work wonders, but it's fun, it's a good form of exercise and it brings out vascularity! lol

Very interesting. I had bloating/gas issues after my carb load last week so I'll be playing it much more conservative as well. My thoughts as of now were to load Thursday w/ strictly white rice/rice cakes (SUPER low fat), then drop back down Friday and play it by ear w/ rice cakes/white rice on Saturday morning. Basically, I don't think I need any fats until I'm 30 minutes out from the stage.
So, just to clarify...that was 150g of carbs every day of peak week until Friday night where you just downed an extra 150g on top before bed?? Am I understanding correctly?
Oh, and I'll DEFINATELY be experimenting w/ the PAM/DT method! My skin did not absorb it in the least and we ended up using 2 full bottles to get, and keep me dark enough!
Can't wait for the pics!
