i mixed it up with a article from the washington post, i will read it now. don't appreciate the condescending tone
this is what i took from it:
daley...
-suggested mail in voting to stay safe from the rona
-republicans gerrymandered the fuk out of some of the states
-republicans appointed judges in power who backs up rep. voting systems
-democratic leadership is not doing well
-hits on new voter id's to suppress votes. uses the north carolina example of how kids with no driver's license, aren't allowed to vote
-uses alabama's DMV situation to prove republicans are making it difficult for people to get driver's licenses
-also uses north dakota as an example. republicans require voters to have a street address when many of the native americans do not have one due to tribal land
-gun license vs student id
-says one needs to jumps through hoobs to get to the ballot box in oregon than compared to NC
nothing new tbhLast edited by Cadet4life; 08-04-2020 at 12:29 PM.

Democrats suppress votes by picking really, really chitty candidates to run
And just LOL at the veiled racism of low expectations. I've heard white people say that you can't use voter ID because 25% of black people can't afford an ID. Do you realize how racist that sounds? Holy chit boyo, 1 out of every frickin 4 of us? And what are they doing to help these people get IDs? Nada.ALL I ASK IS ALL YOU GOT FOR AS LONG AS IT TAKES

"True democracy"
"Democratic republic"
Pick one.
You dont think democrat controlled state legislatures dont position polling places in heavy (D) districts? You dont think califorania doesnt pass laws that make it easier (not harder) for illegal aliens to vote in elections? How are the voter rolls in California? And finally, ballot harvesting. Ballot harvesting is illegal in pretty much every state other than california. And that favors democrats very heavily. Its how they won conservative orange county. 7 republican incumbants had won their seat on election night 2018, only to lose it a week later after 250k late ballots (that mysteriously all went for democrats) flooded in.EMT/Firefighter Crew

In some cases, but I’d say the majority cost something. It may sound like peanuts to some people, but to others even $10 or $15 can be tough to part with. In my state a state ID can cost $22-$37.
The dmv can be a pain to get to, especially by public transportation, the hours of operation and lines can make it difficult to those who don’t have paid time off, flexible schedules, or work multiple jobs, and some of the requirements to prove your address can be difficult for the elderly or those in apartments to come by. There is a reason why the DMV has the reputation it does.
These issues won’t prevent most people from getting an ID, but they are enough of a nuisance and have a greater impact on the poor that requiring an ID could be considered voter suppression.
Other countries, like England, don’t require IDs and give their citizens the ability to vote by mail and by proxy. Is there widespread fear of voter fraud? Just curious.

I don’t know?
We are far from the only country that doesn’t require IDs for elections. If republicans are adamant why don’t they try to solve the problem?
I’m actually not opposed to voter ID, or requirement to have an ID in general. I just believe for that to be a requirement they should be much easier to come by.
The DMV seems redundant. We already have the process for passports begin at the post office, why not increase funding to the post office and have them complete all ID related requests? Make it a little bit harder to establish a driving school and have them handle the testing component on the private side.

fighting the retarded laws requiring them to go stand in the line at the DMW and spend hours and hours running around trying to get whatever they need so they can vote?
the real question is what are the republicans doing to help these people VOTE?
answer: nothing
actually, the answer is less than nothing - theyre actively hindering them from voting

this. the problem is republicans arent actually interested in helping people vote. they want to hinder them and make it harder for them to vote. i have no problem with voter ID requirements so long as theyre simple and easy to obtain
having to spend days at the DMV in order to vote because you lost your ID is insane and a non-starter
you want voter ID? fine - whats your solution?

When we moved to Minnesota it took us several months to get all of our IDs/tags straightened out. One DMV was for the ID and driving test we had to take from being from out of state. They only had about 5 hours each week where the test was offered. I had to go back twice because I couldn’t wait any longer the first time. They punched holes in my ID and I had to go around with a piece of paper for 2 months before my ID came in the mail. Then I had to go through the process all over again 2 years later to get the realID to fly with. A separate dmv office on the other side of town took care of the new plates/tags. It’s a pain in the ass and should be simplified if we are going to change anything with the requirements.

I honestly want to see a count of how many people over 18 don't have an ID. You literally can't function in society as an adult without one. We can make concessions to help the handful of people who don't have one for whatever reason, but the Democrats don't want a solution to that problem...

If its too hard for you to get a state issued ID, you're probably too dumb to take part in the election process. Everyone's got a passport they can very easily bring with them. No ID, no vote that simple. And if those minorities voted majority republican, trust me the DNC would be in support of more ID's. Im willing to bet that in 30-40 years the DNC will be in support of more ID's, since there is a cultural swing in the minority community towards conservative groups.
Also lol at lefties in here saying it takes hours for people to wait at the DMV to get a license when they are the ones advocating for government control. The irony they spout is beyond them.

Lol I'm sorry you gotta keep advocating for more government and then when said government is inefficient you cry gerrymandering or voting fraud.
Case in point you get what you vote for. Streamline the process, give private companies the right to issue driving licenses in accordance to government regulations and trust me more people would have ID's come election day instead of lumping more government into the equation. But you won't do that since that will fix the issue and we can't have that can we? The DNC knows what best brother.
