    Shoulder press question?

    Behind the neck shoulder presses! are they any good or are they just bad for shoulders and neck?

    Yea, these can be damaging to the rotator cuff. I suggest regular military presses since they work wonders for me.

    You should really be doing your shoulder presses with dumbells. You can go down lower, you aren't forced to go infront or behind your head, and they're hard as hell.

    Sometime you need to use a barbell for the sake of changing your routine so your body doesn't adapt and get used to your current routine.

    I prefer the dumbell version of the overhead press. Sometimes I do a one handed version, just for variety!

    agreed...an easy movement when comparing it to more stressful exerices. (squat,deads,clean&press/jerk....) hardest part is when you increase in weight and your ability to put the db's of 80+ lbs up to the starting point
