Which muscle works when doing reverse laterals?

Just curious as to which muscle(s) are actually doing the work when doing the same ROM as a side lateral except on a high-pulley.

To the best of my knowledge, a reverse front raiser isolates the teres major so not sure what it would b for the side.
    Thanks.

Youre going have to explain what exercise youre talking about better than that bud.

You mean bent lateral raises? Posterior deltoid.

    Sorry.
What im trying to explain is this:
Think of a standing db side lateral raise. Now the exercise im trying to explain is the same except the negative of the db lateral is now the positive on a high pulley cable station. And of course the negative is the raising of your arm upward towards the pulley.

Okay, so youre pulling the cable pulley down...? At best thats a lat exercise, but not a good one.

I believe that would be better as an isometric exercise, for example holding the pulleys down with your arms outstretched. Possibly most of your shoulder is worked, and part of your lats, if you keep your arms straight. Very similar to the training methods used by gymnasts to acheive an "iron cross", they hang upside down and hold weights on their hands with their arms outstretched.
    God Bless,

It's called a standing fly. Works lower chest and lats.

I do not know exactly what you mean but if it's what i think than it is a chest exercise.Check this out: (at the end marcelo demonstrates the different angles and effects from it):

Sounds like you are describing radar pulls which are designed to hit the lats. Reverse laterals are anterior delts exercise.

Pretty much the whole upper body, watch a gymnasts upperbody when he's doing an iron cross, every muscle in his upper body pops out.
