    it should help make you faster, in terms of sprinting, due to increased strength, if used along with proper training.

    lets you increase volume of speed work, but injury is also of risk, increased water retention can be bad, depending on amount taken, thats why i recommend max dose of 5g per day, at any time ever.

    However, with the increase in water weight, if you don't specificially target the speed training, you'll get slower as the strength:weight ratio will fall and so you'll be carrying more mass.

    water retention itself regardless of strength to mass ratio will hurt one depending on different things, I dont mind the change of ratio much.

    Many sprinters take above 5g doses, bad to do and will hurt performance, not to mention your wallet + your digestive system.

    If I can remember correctly teh best way to do it is to load with 5, 5g serving a day and just cycle it out. I used to do it with some bi-lo brand creatine and it worked tremendously

    loading is generally done with 10-20g daily for 2-3 weeks, then a maintenance of 3 weeks with 5g, then 3 weeks off.

    I recommend 5g daily for 3 weeks, 3 weeks 2-3g maintenance, 3 weeks off.
    Really useful? not that much, not everyone will see great results as a sprinter from creatine. However during max strength training, this may be useful.

    It will make you slower if you let it!

    Some people have already touched on this.

    Creatine will only make you slower if you neglect speed and conditioning training....bulking up with creatine and not running or stretching will of course make you slower...but so will bulking with any supplement.

    Stay on course with running and conditioning and the additive of creatine will not make you slower it will only help out.....

    Creatine: I would go with a advance creatine (ethyl ester,AKG, etc.) over mono- these creatines show promising results with dosages of only about 3-6g a day. They are better absorbed by the body due to the molecules that are attached. but best of luck with creatine usage and sprinting...

    This might be a dumb questions but does the strength gains of creatine ware off a bit after you stop using it. Because while I was on it My power clean sored from like me only doing sets of 3 with 165 to a 1rm of 205 in a lil over 3 weeks of it. In that time span I probably only did PC 2 times. Then after I stopped I dropped back to around 165x3.

    you need to be doing maintenance, not just load or whatever then DROP. It's like a PCT kinda.
    Maintenance of same period of time you took 5g, use 2-3g for maintenance provided your diet is already high in meat of all sorts. So you take 5g for 3 weeks, maintenance of 3 weeks, off for 3 weeks.

    You shouldnt drop back to where you were before, simply for sprinting, you can workout more, and has power benefits.
