I want to add some different exercises into my routine every so often, just to feel it work my body in another way. I've recently tried the iron cross, and ATrainer's cable flies, and they are both a winner. What other exercises do you do that you feel are simply phenomenal.
-Iron Cross, cables from top/bottom hold arms horiz. hold. Can be used with dumbbells.
-ATrainer's flies. The contraction from the halfway point till the hands touch is sick.

The "rare" exercises in my routine are split jerks, reverse EZ bar curls, and clean grip front squats. Also-hang squats.
I also get good results from proper form bench press.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

-Reverse Overhead Raises [hit side/rear delts]
-Narrow Stance Squats [hits inner thigh amazing]
The first is from Arnold's encyclopedia, an amazing exercise in my eyes. I've done it a few times over the last few weeks. The squat probably isn't as rare but I never see it done at my gym. I did this with the 20-rep routine and it killed my inner thigh and I love the way it felt. An area I needed to target.
Good thread, hope we can get some more "unique" exercises.no pain

reverse grip bench press.
I've yet to see anyone do these..The Iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and hear all kinds of talk, get told that you're a god or a total bastard. The Iron will always kick you the real deal. The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds. ~Henry Rollins

Middle back shrugs. Killer for the traps.

Front squats - An awesome exercise for pretty much anyone. Great for athletes and bodybuilders alike and despite what some think it's not hard to learn/do. Just have to let the ego go for a few workouts.
Box squats - I see the biggest benefit for athletes and powerlifters, but who know bodybuilders could probably incorporate them as well. These are really great for increasing your squat. They usually take less time to recover from because you are using less weight than normal.
Romanian and Keystone Deadlifts - Very similar to good morning variationsm in terms of the muscles hit and even the movement itself, only you hold the weight rather than it resting on your back.
Glute Ham Raises - Can be done with the machine or manually by putting a pad under your knees and anchoring your feet. So, you have no excuse not to do these, awesome from posterior development.

I usually just stick to the basics, but I gotta say lat shrugs are awesome. Also, I don't know if these would be considered "unknown," but I do a lot of pistols these days and have experienced great leg development.
