I have a slight Miniscus tear, not bad enough to get surgery but enough to stop me from doing squats and lunges, so does anyone out there have the best alternatives to squating and lunges. They kill my knees, and I'm trying to get some thickness in the legs. Help me if you can. Thanks

if the heavy wieght is an issue could you still go through a deep knee bend (or squat) with a medicine ball while rehabbing it? I had a wrist injury for a long time and could not bench so I did a heck of a lot pushups on my knuckles because I could not bend my wrist backwards. I hope that helps some

knee wraps...
are using kness wraps. I didnt use them until I was squatting 315lbs for many reps and my knees started hurting. They hurt so bad I couldnt get down stairs the next day. So I started wrapping my knees and the problems went away. Their is no substitute for squats and mass, leg press are ok...hack squats are a knee involved exercise so their out...lunges are out...extensions are out...front squats may help on a smith machine.
