Saying that changing your routine in an X amount of weeks is necessary is bull. It all depends on your feelings. When you feel it doesn't work anymore, change it.

i should try that. the main basis of why i was switching was because i heard that the best mass gains come after your CNS adaption phase which is about the first four weeks. then after about 8 weeks the mass gains slow down. -read that on this forum so im not sure its true.

i dont need 2 change mine as i neva get one i juz hav a day that i will train a certain body part and go into the gym and do wot eva exercises i feel like duin !!! this obviously works as i am a mesomorph an i gain easy as hell neway !!! not to annoy anyone
I never do the same workout two weeks in a row. I either change the order of the exercises or the exercises completely.Its called "instictive training" and it prevents boredom and always keeps your muscles guessing.
