    when should i change my routine?

    after how long should i change my routine?.....most people ive asked said 4-6 weeks....what is the best?

    6-8 weeks. i change mine after 8 weeks.

    8-10 weeks I change mine every tenth week :/ (my break week)

    When you feel you don't make gains.

    Saying that changing your routine in an X amount of weeks is necessary is bull. It all depends on your feelings. When you feel it doesn't work anymore, change it.

    No offense ex_, you're an advanced bodybuilder too , I'm just trying to help.

    i should try that. the main basis of why i was switching was because i heard that the best mass gains come after your CNS adaption phase which is about the first four weeks. then after about 8 weeks the mass gains slow down. -read that on this forum so im not sure its true.

    This is right, but when your CNS adapts to workouts, your muscles stop growing too. It is all connected to each other buddy.

    It cannot be that if your CNS is used to the workout and you still make gains.

    try using 2 workouts per muscle group, and put each one on a different day...this is what pretty much EVERY pro does right now....like chest:

    Workout 1:
    Incline Dumbell Benches
    Flat Bench Barbell Benches
    Incline Dumbell Flyes

    Workout 2:
    Decline Dumbell Benches
    Swiss Ball Flyes
    Flat Bench Dumbell Benches

    Workout 1 on Monday, rest a couple days...workout 2 Saturday/Sunday/Monday ... either one

    i dont need 2 change mine as i neva get one i juz hav a day that i will train a certain body part and go into the gym and do wot eva exercises i feel like duin !!! this obviously works as i am a mesomorph an i gain easy as hell neway !!! not to annoy anyone

    I never do the same workout two weeks in a row. I either change the order of the exercises or the exercises completely.Its called "instictive training" and it prevents boredom and always keeps your muscles guessing.
