i dont see how you can say anything but hockey, he used a bad video initially of hip checks. but a full force shoulder to chest trolly tracks hit is going to have the most impact out of any sport. they skate so much faster then a person can run. i mean if anyone here actually knows thier physics if you did some calculations im sure hockey hits harder, just to much speed.
this is a great example of a big hit

dude it doesn't matter what kind of protection you have. the question at hand is in what sport do they hit the hardest. yes? not how hard the hit feels with the amount of protection factored in. it's how hard the hit is. and it is either nfl or nhl i think. fact is if rugby players hit as hard as nfl players they'd all be dead unless they are super human?

The helmets measure hits in multiples of the force of gravity. Half of the hits recorded this season were greater than 30 Gs, Duma said. The hardest hits measured more than 130 Gs.
"An impact of 120 Gs would be like a severe car accident, which you could survive if you were wearing a seat belt," Duma said.

Once again! NFL is the only sport where both player (Linbacker vs Lineman or Linbacker vs fullback) Are coming at eachother full speed! Every other sport(Vid) only has blind elbow or shoulder shots except for some good rugby tackles! But even those both men dont make eye contact and try to run eachother over.
??? Do you really think any Rugby, Afl or tall lanky ass hockey player were to be hit by Ray Lewis, Brian Urlacher, Or Jeremy Trotter they would get up and be like( That was nothing compared to what I feel all the time) NO!! Every other sport besides football has to train for long periods or cardio, while football players train spicificall for Big Strong Fast Powerful burst!!
And who ever said that anyone can move faster on skates than a someone who runs a 4.3 40 at about 28-30 mph might what to think that over. This is the best hobbie Ive ever had!

Wtf!!
Had to see for myself if you stats was true. To be honest I wasnt sure. I went to NHL.com and took the first 25 hockey defensmen on the list and averaged out thier weight and heigth to see if they really are 250Lbs. The average NHL defenseman is 6.2 feet tall and (211 Lbs). No were near 250Lbs. And to top it all of I went and looked at the the next 50 on the list and the biggest was 225Lbs. To put things in perspective the average NFL reciever is around 6.2 feet tall and 215 Lbs.
This is the best hobbie Ive ever had!

I don't think anyone here understands the ****ing question.
You're all morons.
Every single person saying ANYTHING regarding rugby and afl having no pads is a moron. If anything that only gives hockey and football MORE of a reason to have harder hits, why? Because the pads give the players more confidence to hit harder...
No pads has nothing to do with the hardness of a hit.
The pain or injuries from hits might very well be in rugby, but is that the question? No.
It's about hardest hits. Football has bigger, stronger guys who get to rest every play just to hit as hard as possible next play.

Going with rugby. I played football from the time I was 12 until 18. I played rugby for about 2 semesters in college. Worst injury I ever had in football was a few stingers. In rugby I've had my share of concussions, stingers, black eyes, and recently a torn ACL and meniscus. My days of sports are done, but rugby is way harder than football.

wow @ kids dieing from playing games
IMHO im farely new to Canada (3 years) and i have played both Rugby and American football, my conclusion is that Rugby is by far the roughest sport i have ever played. AF is pretty good but the only thing that gets annoying is when the ball is dropped at the ground you start from a certain point. Whereas Rugby is continous and no Padding etc, its more fun too.Toronto YO

You are a f*cking moron. Hockey hits are coming at each other at full speed which is a hell of a lot faster than 2 guys running at eachother. Just learning to skate takes talent. You don't think hockey is all about bursts of speed? do some research before you talk. negged
