They basically thought they were the holy, whilst Jesus is holy.
You have to imagine how much seething was going on back in the day when Jesus was performing miracles and speaking facts and the 'established authorities' litirally had nothing except making up laws - He was basically spirituality MOGGING those who thought they were moggers. They got angry and killed Him.
In only the last 100 years there's been a bunch of Jews that have claimed to be the messiah and nobody crucified them - so you can imagine how many claimed to be messiah in 32-33AD.
Do you know how many idiots on Earth claimed to be God in the last 10 000 years and nobody thought twice about it?
