I know they're not the most accurate things in the world though.

I'm in my last two weeks as a special education teacher at the elementary school level. I mostly work with kids who exhibit behavior problems, so they pretty much have to be walked everywhere they go so they don't run off, tear something up, or hit somebody.

But pretty much all elementary school teachers walk that much. That's all they do is walk around all day dead srs. They're on their feet while teaching, walking kids to and from related arts, to and from lunch, etc. You'll get two thousand steps by 8:15 AM when you finish up your car rider line duty where you direct traffic lol.

I’d say anywhere between 15-20K daily. I get 10K just from jogging alone.

4k-6k if it's a noticeably lazy day (slept more, glued to my bed/chair, rest day). 9k-10k on a typical day (gym, pacing around, shopping, chores). 12k+ if I were particularly active for some reason.

Too lazy to pull the data and calculate but probably 7.5k is a fair average.

I counted it out, it’s 38 steps to the commissary from my cell

And 53 steps to the yard but that’s only once a week assuming I didn’t attempt any penetrations that week

25-35k depending on the day. I am constantly up and down floors checking in on my team and other teams. I refuse to send in house emails and will always use the opportunity to get some steps in. I also usually walk on my lunch break and run a few days a week also.
