I think most WeightLifters train for VANITY, even the HuskyFats who try to convince themselves they "train for strength" because they still think looking strong like Bluto is mogging
the people who train for HEALTH are doing things like Moderate Walking and Tai Chi, not lifting HEAVY WEIGHTS or chasing the BodyBuilding Dream

Building muscle is for health... Muscle decreases as we age, maintaining levels of strength and muscle as we get older is a huge health boon in injury prevention and longevity. But yeah, don't neglect walking or the ability to get up off the floor.

New Shanghai Log!
"225, 315, 405 whatever. Yeah these benchmark digits come to mean a lot to us, the few warriors in this arena. They are, however, just numbers. I'm guilty of that sh*t too, waiting for somebody to powder my nuts cuz I did 20 reps of whatever the **** on the bench. Big f*king deal. It is all relative." G Diesel

I train for both mental and physical self-confidence.
I want to believe in myself.
The day I quit training will be the day I quit life and I'm not a quitter.
The only thing I quit was smoking.🌺 Lauren Brooks Kelly (snailsrus) - Jul 25, 1991 – Jan 29, 2022

if we boiled it down to health only (longevity/free of disease/ease of movement, etc)...men would likely be striving to have the body of a swimmer or cyclist or some nature loving hippy that hikes mountains all the time. average man something like 150-160lbs with pretty low fat, good endurance and eating just enough food to maintain that weight...probably with a good mix of fruits and veggies.
in the modern world where vanity rules, that would be labeled twink status though.
