You can be angry when police murder/assault citizens and refuse to release bodycams/do even a basic, credible investigation..
You can also be happy when police do their jobs correctly and dont act corruptly.
They arent mutually exclusive things.

States are constitutionally required to provide police services to maintain law and order. Also, politicians need police protection too...after all, peons like us aren't as valuable as them.

When you take a close look at cities there are *shortages* like DC is missing 700 and Baltimore is missing 600.
Reasonable people were not anti police, yes reasonable, they were anti *excessive force* or things that were not in the handbook.

If a dudes knee is on your neck like he is in Afghanistan or Iraq then we have a problem, that was the general, reasonable idea.
