And by that I mean, contributing to seeing the changes you wish to see occur in the country happen?
Campaign? Donate money? Write to your representatives? Actually vote?
Or do you just bish on the R and P? Or are you a nihilist?

After having worked in DC for several years and seeing first hand what politics really are I try to let people know that both political parties are pushing the same agenda just using different tactics to push certain things from certain angles. The first day in office for any congress person consists of an orientation where they are informed that their one and only job is to solicit campaign donations by appeasing donors. They do this by selling corporate agendas to their constituents. The best salespeople stay in office, it they can't sufficiently manipulate the masses they are "voted out" in favor on the next person.

Nothing. I live in a place where my vote means chit. I'm outnumbered greatly by blue hairs with they/them pronouns.
That said I still vote hoping a lot of the stupid ass propositions don't pass but they always do.(they/them) #ProudVegan We can beat this! Triple Vax. Wear Two Masks (one FFP2/3). Get a Covid Passport. Don't forget your Booster(s)! Asymptomatic long covid survivor

If you got the money to donate. Great.
If you want to protest like a lot of the rallies and Trump merchandise stand setups have been here in my area of FL. Great.
Imo showing them where you stand with your vote Is important even if you believe it doesn’t matter which some of you imo say that to deter people from
Going out to vote out Biden.
Voted since 2004.BLM (Brock Lesnar Matters)

Nothing. I hold no delusions of grandeur on how relevant I am as an individual. Nor do I waste any time trying to convince myself that my vote will count or make a difference lol...I only vote because I like to bitch and moan about issues I don't fancy. And yes, I do happen to be a Nhilist lol. Doesn't mean I want to watch the world burn. I just wouldn't piss on the fire to save the world if it did.

Lol...im not really into labels but that would be the closest thing to describe me..im more of a optimistic Nhilist though. I don't warship death or want to see the world burn. I just enjoy the life I have without seeking meaning...which really isn't relevant to any aspect of my life. I am staunchly conservative but it doesn't really mean much. I just have a niece and nephew and don't want them to live in a liberal society but yeah...I don't believe in anything outside of abiding by what nature intends.

I help people I speak with to come to the realization that all marxists are useless human cancer and that pinochet did nothing wrong, when a relevant topic comes up. Happens often these days with so many people concerned about the economy.

Yes sir. And I would say that is a fair assumption. The things I witnessed gave me a less than optimistic view on humans and life in general. Don't get me wrong though...I wouldn't change a thing. I know my patriotism can come off a bit cringe lol but the catalyst being those views is the fact that I earned the title of being American and wasn't born into it. I'm not big on using the past to victimize myself or excuse my views...it was simply a price we had to pay to come here and nothing more.

I hear you. I've heard Jack Matlock describe Brezhnev as the Soviet version of Hillary Clinton. Just replace "democracy" with "socialism". Both were crusaders. Both destroyed countries and left people like you scarred. I imagine you take great pride in America for helping your people resist then. But today's America is facilitating genocide and has massacred even more muslims than the Soviets did. I wish for a better world for people like you and all who have suffered the horrors of war. These wars are fought because delusional elites, disconnected from the people, selfishly pursue their own goals over the common good.

I respect your opinion and agree with some of it...I wasn't a fan of the signature strikes that Obama used with the predator drones and hated how the Biden administration just gift wrapped the country over to the Taliban.. seeing the horrible faces of the people trying to flee and of course the soldiers who lost their lives..but honestly, Afghanistan is just a country I was born in...I consider myself an American now (which after being here for 36 years, I only felt comfortable enough calling myself that recently) and I do care more about this country and its citizens above all. Yes I'm a Nhilist but next to my immediate family, this country is more to me than life itself...lol, cringe I know but again...it's something I had to earn.

Understandable. And this was supposed to be the point of America. We were supposed to inspire other countries and be the pinnacle of human civilization. We were supposed to set the standard. We failed, but I am glad that this land is your refuge and home. I just hope we can one day make this country what it could be.
