I've only watched a couple episodes, but so far:

It started strong, but then went downhill after the second episode.

It's written by a bunch of libtard phgts. Really, like a few things make me rage, but the stupidity of the characters makes me want to throw my tv out the window.

It's like, basic self-defense and defense of children is toxic. Instead, just yell and make faces in the camera is all you need to be a strong person.

The whole story could be written without the main character, and it would all just still work as the main character does nothing but yell and make faces. srs

Me and my ex got as far as the episode where she's about to hop on an airplane to finally escape or something, then she gets caught.
It had some fked up brutal moments. I'm not sure how it's left leaning though, I swear there's a scene where some chick gets her clit burnt off so she can't feel any pleasure, that's far right.
Ultimately got bored of it like I do most shows, too many filler episodes and flashback episodes. I DON'T CARE just fkin continue the plot and stop milking it. Could've been a 2 hour movie.

Apparently so did the 1990 film, based on the book which also apparently sucked. Really it is all just a rape fantasy for women-dressed up as female suffrage & empowerment. This was erotic fiction for women & nothing to do with what Hollywood has portrayed it as. The reason men don't like it or books by Jilly Cooper, Georgette Heyer, the Amazon books about women getting raped by apes etc, is because it is designed for & appeals only for women.
