Benadryl only has 25mg of diphenhydramine, Unisom is advertised to sleep and their gels have 50mg diphenhydramine

When people say Benadryl it's for anything w Diphenhydramine as the main ingredient. Have only used it a handful of times personally but heard from others tolerance goes up real quick if used on a regular basis, in no time you'll needing 100mg (4 pills) instead of 1.
Also always made me drowsy waking up. Causes more vivid dreams though.

I was always confused how so many people have had sleep problems. I have never had sleep problems unless I drink caffeine late or something, which is the odd day here and there.

I realized my entire life I was always physically exhausted by the end of the day so I routinely made sure I got 8 hours of sleep and my body responded by being able to instantly fall asleep. I could fall asleep typically within minutes of turning the lights off.

Maybe I'm lucky, but OP I think If you physically or even mentally tire yourself out you won't need to rely on sleep aid addiction just to fall asleep. Try reading before bed. That used to instantly knock me out cold.

Yea it works. But not at all healthy to use more than once in a while. You should never rely on medication for sleep. Find out what the cause is and take care of it naturally.

This is false. Doxylamine has almost double the median half-life of diphenhydramine.

Straight from wikipedia about Doxylamine vs Diphen: Because of its relatively long elimination half-life (10–12 hours), doxylamine is associated with next-day effects including sedation, drowsiness, grogginess, dry mouth, and tiredness when used as a hypnotic.[25][17] This may be described as a "hangover effect".[17] The shorter elimination half-life of diphenhydramine (4–8 hours) compared to doxylamine may give it an advantage over doxylamine as a sleep aid in this regard.[26]

just wake up at 4 am go for a 2 hours run /walk and go on with your day ... finish work then hit the gym afterwards no matter how tired you are .... go home shower ,eat and read ...put your phone down and stay away from your computer 2 hours before you goto sleep.

I take some kind of sleep med but I couldn't tell you what it is because I don't even know. Just know it works better than bennies heh

Regardless of what you take, you've gotta get the amount right so you aren't ded whenever you have to wake up. Working out during the day will help you be tired and pass out much more easily as well as get deeper Zs
