Tempted to say boxing but...
...there are overweight - supposedly elite - boxers.
How can a sport in which top competitors can be overweight or even obese win the best fitness sport competition? Let's say golf too.
I'll say athletics where you have compound events like heptathlon, pentathlon etc.Nocrew crew

Hardest chit I've ever done was MMA / wrestling / boxing
Easiest poll ever because the answer is clear as day, I've also tried everything on that list.
MMA is in its own tier. The absolute top. You're not just "exercising" LOL, you're getting physically hurt/abused, while getting an adrenaline dump and pushing your body to its FULLEST potential.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

So just take that and add in getting punched/kicked in the face/body, start bleeding in extreme pain and just know the abuse doesn't stop until you're KO'd....But before that you're adrenaline kicks in and doesn't last long so you drown.
I'm sorry but this is comical if any of you guys think there's a tougher sport than MMA, just LMAOJournal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

Edit: ^^ to dopamine. It's not toughest sport. It's what gets you in the best shape. I can argue that soccer gets you in better shape that mma. Easily.
When I was a freshman in HS I got a pretty brutal hip flexor pull from soccer. On my own I decided to use the pool to rehab. Then I thought why not use it to help get in shape. I would run around the pool and create a massive whirlpool, and do egg beater and treading as intense as possible (sister played water polo).
That **** was no joke and not only completely healed my hip flexor, but improved my conditioning.

Waterpolo you get kicked and elbowed constantly,,and you never stop swimming, or egg beatering, it's a constant strain on your body for an hour plus at times..while MMA can be over in 20 seconds.
Don't get me wrong, MMA is brutal, and you need to be in top shape, but try playing College level water Polo, you'll be drained within 10 minutes, but you have to go on for 3 more quaters

MMA gets you in the overall best shape. Triathlons are so cardio-intensive that it lowers test and diminishes muscle mass. So while they have good endurance, they sacrifice strength and fast-twitch explosiveness
Gymnastics and boxing get you in extremely good shape. Maybe swimming tooLast edited by ripinside; 09-03-2022 at 08:54 PM.
