I would 200% go back. Technology has def made a lot of things easier but it's ruined society. The 80's were the GOAT.

The 80's:
The girls...
The cars...
The parties...
The hobbies/recreation...
The movies...
The music videos...

Mid to late 90s.
The birth of the internet. Exploring it was like exploring a new world. There was no social media, few restrictions, it was awesome. This was also before everyone had a smart phone.
I hate to be one of those "things were better in my day" guys..but srsly society today is absolutely the worst it's ever beenSurvival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

early 90's i remember the internet was originally all text based and mostly research info was available.
I'd dial into my college computer then access it that way.
otherwise we had BBS numbers to track down and discover.
anyone remember trade Wars?
mid 90's was the attack of the AOL Online cd's.
remember those?
they were fk'n everywhere.
camp fires and camping out in friends back yards was the best.

Oh hell yeah, when if you had $20 in your pocket for the weekend you were in great shape. Hop on your GT Pro Performer with your boy's and go ride ramps and trails all day. Pop in to 7 Eleven and have a Super Big Gulp and Totino's pizza bites and hit the roads again.

The social aspect is what I miss most. getting together with friends and everyone was present and in the moment. Didn't have their faces stuck in their phones or concentrating on taking pics to post on social media. We would just have fun and didn't have to prove to a bunch of people we barely know that we were having fun.

Do I know then what I know now? Am I allowed to alter the future?
I've been seeing the past in one eye and the present in the other. So, I thought I could only see patches of reality, never the whole picture. I felt like I was watching a dream I could never wake up from. Before I knew it, the dream was over.

Yup.
Thank god I was a kid in the 80s. Hours of staying outside after school and on weekends, mom stayed home and gave me a great meal at dinner.
Arcades on the weekend. Staying at friend's houses for hours and hours.
The only thing that sucked was if friends moved away you'd never see them again for the rest of your life.
