My time watching wrestling regularly was early 90s to early 2000s.
Through the hulk hogan era to the Monday night wars and the end of the attitude era.
I still watched quite a bit up until about 06-07 which was when it started losing me.
I firmly belive WWE losing any serious competition killed the business.
What I see of it now..
I honestly don't think I'm missing anything, I'm really not interested in women's wrestling, I don't mind a match or two but not 50% women's matches, none of the wrestlers respect kayfabe anymore, the only ones who seem to do good work are the veterans like edge, brock, Bryan. They have been forcing reigns down peoples throats for what feels like 15 years at this point and ruined so many careers to get him over.
Still love to watch the older PPVs and YouTube stuff like podcasts etc but the modern product isn't for me. WWE is a kids show at the end of the day, and has been since Cena was on top.

Was more into NWA/WCW than the Hogan-era WWF, too cartoonish.
I hadn't watched since like 2011 and just re-started a couple years back with AEW. Honestly, at first I could barely recognize WWE it had changed so much - and not for the better. AEW is more traditional wrestling, mixed with a lot of indy crap. Some nuggets of gold, some nuggets of chit, you never know what you're getting.
WWE is rather stale, I've only checked out RAW, and it's a show meant for young children, so not for me. Lots of zany buckets of goop, green slime, train sound effects, spooky dolls, funny black men dancing, half the show dedicated to women's sports 'entertainment', grown men obsessed with super soakers, pancakes, pie fighting, wacky shenanigans with unicorns and that kind of thing. Sometimes they wrestle a short match that has a very obvious outcome and then they do it over for 18 weeks in a row and then fire both of them the next week. At least Brock is on RAW now, let's see if he actually shows upAll truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

I think AEW is very much worth it. The roster is stacked and everyone looks like a million bucks. Kind of reminds me of the old NXT. And according to mostly everyone it's nice working for someone who sees more than a bottom line.
Haven't been able to watch WWE since 2018-ish but I still watch the Rumble and WM.

All aew has but he’s damn good though is Hook aka the next Stone Cold Steve Austin if there is one. And on the mic got Dan Lambert of course.
