The malnutrition thing sort of contradicts other things I’ve read that say fasting states at puberty cause a spike in growth hormone which can increase height while the growth plates are still open. I think height is 90% genetics and 10% environment/nutrition.

A son is guaranteed to be taller than his mother. That is the only constant with height prediction. So if they had taller mothers, with a more modern nutritional upbringing, and add one or two inches for good measure (new generation) it makes sense.

Each generation grows taller as selective fukking slowly weeds out the manlets. I notice this in siblings also. It seems the oldest brother ends up getting mogged by his younger brother(s). Srs

they are around 45 and 50 years old. So their parents were born in 1930s -1940s soviet union. i think their dad was in the army or something. but anyways its not surprising they were short.

Also they came up in the USSR youth sport programs at the tail end of it. those guys were always using peds.
