Currently taking an online course and teacher is requiring us to use "Examinity"

This is basically a software that tracks your webcam to make sure nobody comes into frame, and even makes sure your eyes dont move off the screen...seems very bizarre. Anyways, has anyone had experience with this ?

Productivity is about results, not about isolating your employees and forcing them to stare at the screen.

I feel bad for anyone who has to get an education during the lockdowns.

yea its for a real estate class. Taken online which is basically teaching ourselves not even zoom calls..Teacher legit doesnt do anything except grade our discussions and projects as quizzes and tests are automatically graded..seems a bit harsh to not let it be open NOTE considering its an advanced course. Also, accelerated summer class which is consolidated into 6 weeks vs an entire semester..lastly, if he was afraid of us cheating why not just change the questions up...this seems radical..the proctors can look at your screen like teamviewer, the AI software detects eye motions and it will even detect a phone hooked up to the same wifi network

Video record yourself. Play recording on a loop. Place web cam in front of separate monitor that has recording of you on a loop.

Yea I've had to deal with it. Usually its proctored by some Pajeet or Saanvi on the other end. They follow a script.

Easy to make a big deal about but its nothing too serious imo
