Anyone one who has sanded drywall or worked in a wood shop knows that all paper masks leak a lot. I wear a 3M silicone mask with the pink P100 filters to block incoming dust.

Unless the mask is designed to create an air tight seal, it doesn't matter if they are "wearing it properly" it still has numerous openings.

When talking about the masses who buy into this panic - it goes back to my old theory that the average human relishes in these public service efforts. It requires fuk all energy and makes them feel like they're making a difference in their miserable and inconsequential lives. Give them a simple cause to promote and they'll eat it up. But they're never going to consider the consequences.

That makes intuitive sense. For the majority of masks people wear it’s about containing how far moister from your breath/cough/etc. travels and not about actually providing protection should covid filled water droplets be in the air someone else inhales.

You can exercise. The masks won't appreciably affect your oxygen levels.

Anyway, the study simply showed that double masking isn't some huge gain. We already knew this. It is, however still a gain, as Fauci said.
