How cringe is the "Casual Friday" thing at work?

Must be so degrading to be told that as an adult you have their permission to dress down on Fridays

Basically confirms that you don't really need to dress up if your job has a dress code since it's arbitrary that they chose one day a week to allow you to dress casually

I mean what's the point of dressing up Monday to Thursday but on a Friday you can be casual if it's all the same work

Haven't been employed for years and can't ever imagine returning to it
