UK politicians voted against helping to feed over 1 million of countries most disadvantaged children during their school holidays
Free school meals are lifesavers for many children who’s families can barely afford to make ends meet, for some a free school meal is the only meal of the day they receive
UK government has chosen not to help feed these children during this difficult time when many of the cities have been placed under lockdown again
The same government who have just recently given themselves another pay rise
Man Utd footballer Marcus Rashford was campaigning to have poorer kids fed during the first lockdown as they were denied food back then but changed their decision due to media exposure, hopefully the same happens again.

This is ridiculous considering the amount of money wasted because of the covid lockdown hoax.
Let's be clear, destroying the country because of a cold virus is far worse than not giving children free food. But they have absolutely no leg to stand on if their reasoning is the budget.Palestine supporters are the assorted scum of the earth

A lot of people are getting their hours cut and losing their jobs due to COVID policies.
A lot of people in the Hospitality industry have been hit hard, and there aren't replacement jobs.
The complete lack of compassion, despite you guys being aware of how COVID policies have affected the global economy, is mind blowing. (If you guys are genuinely unaware of what is happening to the UK economy, I advise you to do some reading .)
If you guys think that the job market and wages are going to bounce back anytime soon, then you having been paying attention. If You Don't Like To Talk About Your Feelings, This Might Help...

We have a 3 tier system in the UK, each with varying levels of restrictions.
The government position is that if an area or city gets to a particular rate of transmission then you go up or down a tier. We have the country of Wales, the cities of Manchester and Liverpool, and the area of South Yorkshire under lockdown.
Businesses are struggling and cutting staff, or even closing down. Yet some - I'm guessing - Libertarian miscers are defending cutting meal funding for children. Completely callous political philosophy, that can't even make exceptions for circumstances like 2020.If You Don't Like To Talk About Your Feelings, This Might Help...

don't really know much about UK politics but outright taking meals away from children whom don't have any fault in the conditions they were dealt seems mean-spirited and petty. It's just for the holidays right?
especially after locking down businesses and fuking up people's ability to make a living. Didn't they just piss away millions on a spreadsheet that ended up being a complete waste? Could have literally took that money and fed all 1 million of those children with at least a breakfast.
yes parents should take responsibility but govt should also take responsibility for how many lives they fuked up. if they didn't fuk with people's lives this much maybe it would be understandable, but literally they're removing funding for holidays lmao.
but idk overall should it be the govt's responsibility to feed children? obv safety nets should be in place and unfortunate chit happens to people but lol @ having kids you can't even afford meals for. you can always squander govt money on worse and govts have done so. and if you're already subsidizing meals for the rest of the year ...positivity brah crew

I'm all for feeding the kids,
However if you went into most of these poor households you will see the following, new car on finance/new TV/newest iPhones.
Benefit Britain is very real, i have multiple people in my family who claim benefits and don't work and live better then the working public. (I live on a very poor council estate)1/4 Jamaican
1/4 Polish
1/4 Irish
1/4 Welsh

Kind of reinforces my point. People in the hospitality industry make decent money. Certainly enough to have savings if youre financially smart. When times were good they were buying new iPhones, going out drinking, etc and living paycheck to paycheck. Now chit hits the fan and they have no savings because they were busy yolo. I have compassion for the small percentage of people who are actually down on their luck and not frivolously spending

LOL how the fuk is regional lockdowns(even if they did work) going to work in a country that small. That's just a mess.
If school meals are healthy, then fuk it have the restaurants that are closed make it for them. Better than throwing money down a hole, brb that is pretty poverty if families aren't able to feed their kids.

Normally, I think the benefits a lot of poorcels get are fkn ridiculous. It has not been uncommon for me to see people who make 50% of what I do with crappier/no job benefits driving newer cars and having newer phones than I do. Yet, they are headed to Walmart and gas stations with their EBT cards, get government subsidized housing and utilities, free school meals for their kids, etc. It always pissed me off seeing these broke lazy people buying expensive bs while I actually have to pay my damn way in this life.
However, having said all that, I will say that 2020 is different. The COVID lockdowns and restrictions have been beyond awful. Even with the inflated COVID numbers, it is beyond clear that destroying the economies was not worth it. Far more lives are being ruined by the restrictions than the virus itself, yet we have clowns like Uncle Joe over in the U.S. advocating locking down super tight. They won't even assure us that mass vaccinations will be gooe enough to let us get back to normal. The entire thing is a complete joke. This is another reason I'm pissed that the government here won't get their chit together and get another stimulus deal done. We've all been fuked in the angus one way or the other by this nonsense, and all I've had to show for it myself is one payment of $1,200 back in May. My ex kept the full $500 for our kid because it went to her account and told me to fuk off when I asked to split it lol.

I don’t know how you come to the conclusion I’m a socialist from this thread, but we the taxpayer fund the politicians lavish lifestyles, if they can charge us £3.00 through government expenses for their sandwiches as well as their luxurious second homes and holiday homes, then there shouldn’t even be a debate to feed hungry children in the country
Don’t know how so many miscers can be such hateful people, obviously born with a silver spoon and cawk in your mouths and have never faced any adversity due to your mummy’s and daddy’s bailing you out whenever you need it
The lack of compassion towards children is actually scary, but I’m I’m just a socialist apparently lol

No you just have a very estrocentric view of the situation.
"Just feed all the hungry kids"
"Why can't we just give homeless people houses?"
"End world hunger now!"
"JEFF BEZOS!!!!111!!"
etc
Throwing money at these types of issues GUARANTEES more of it.
The state is not there to raise your fukin kids. Get a grip.
I agree that politicians are paid too much and the expenses they claim are a joke but these are completely separate issues.
