What to invest 70k in ?

I’ve managed to save upto 70k during the last couple of years. Was wondering if the misc could give me ideas on what to invest in. I have already invested in mutual funds but I haven’t really made too much from it.

I don’t mind taking a bit of risk because I’m still just 26 and unmarried.

I would say it would be very difficult to yield high percentage with 70k in real estate.

Your best option is being an invisible investor in a startup business or a non-executive director but the risk are greater however the rewards are exponential.

The problem with real estate is that is pretty busy also lot of money is spent on maintenance and other taxes. Getting a good tenant is another issue. However I’ve been researching on it lately and many people have suggested it as a good investment. Thanks for the info!

This is correct, never use your own money when you can use someone else's.

Yes, but it also has the highest average return. You can even hire a company to take care of every single aspect of the transaction, from renting to maintenance and everything in between. Of course they'll want a nice chunk of your profit for that.

he was talking about 20% of the $120k theoretical home -- 20% allows you to avoid PMI in homes (minimum ownership is 20% to be exempt of PMI, a completely pointless fee costs you a nice chunk of change every single month till u own 20%). And that would be around $25k.

But gl finding a market where a $120k home can rent for $1400/mo. I know they're out there but sure as chit aint my city! would like to know where.. buy a few homes rn prob.
