I had to walk a mile this morning and there was a 20 degree wind blowing ice particles into my face. Reinforced the fact that I'm trying to become a snowbird beginning next year(or just move permanently).

The only real upside of winter is that girls who don't necessarily stand out can put on some sexy yoga pants and boots and look hot in the Winter. And they're definitely looking to get piped.

London is on practically the same longitude as Edmonton so I don't know how tf OP thinks beaches are relevant to a place that's barely above freezing right now. I may be exaggerating just the tiniest bit BUT there is at least 2 months difference in the length of the summer north to south. Not to mention a hell of a lot less rain.

I've been to the north. Manchester, Newcastle, Luton etc. Cold grey and miserable almost permanently
