Companies still amino spiking?

I know this was a big fiasco a couple years ago and companies faced tons of lawsuits because of being outed for their spiking. I was in Walmart and saw some of the culprits still on shelves (6 star and phase 8).

Question is, did these companies change their protein due to the lawsuits or is the same formula still being sold?

They changed their proteins but I wouldn't buy their garbage either way.

Like OT said, wouldn't trust those companies. Plenty of other brands out there that haven't had lawsuits that don't meet label claims(source: former prep coach I worked with, one of his clients had the expendable income to test a bunch of brands to see what they can/can't trust).

Like mentioned there is many other good brands, there is no reason to support a company who has scammed users in past. It's a damn shame they are as big as they are and still have such a hug fan base. But fancy labels big claims and uneducated buyers all contribute to it unfortunately.

If they are still out then they changed to meet compliance. However, with so many good brands out right now. Iforce, PES, Gaspari, etc. There really isn't a reason to continue on with poor reputations.

OP I would surely hope after a huge lawsuit they would clean up their act. But as others mentioned with so many other options out there why even take that chance. I have been sticking with CL and PES and see no reason to deviate any time soon.

I remember Optimum Gold standard came in at 21g per scoop with a claim of 24g. One of the worst ones was 12g with a claim of 30g, I think that one was the Six Star.

The search on here is quite broken, so without the thread title, might not have any luck finding it. I've never seen them come short so that's why I was curious. I wouldn't expect them to ever fall short being under Glanbia.

It was Body fortress and Gaspari that were the concerning ones. Wouldn't expect that from Gaspari, but I remember that stuff that was sampled hurt my stomach so bad every time I took it. WHen I first started taking whey, I used to always buy Body Fortress because it was cheap and sold at Walmart. It is really pathetic what companies will do to make a buck. I'm over buying anything other than ON Gold

I'd suggest sticking to reputable brands like your Dymatize, ON's, Cellucor, ISOPure...you get what you pay for and if the price is too good to be true, it probably is. There's a website with verifiable tested proteins also.

It was pretty standard practice among many companies in the past. I think most knew that adding free form aminos would erroneously increase the protein numbers

Some blatantly say so on the label "added BCAAs" or "with glutamine".

Some companies may not have known they were doing it, but it's because they had no QC/QA place. Decide what's worse. Most supplement companies don't have a QC/QA department

I have the Precision Protein in vanilla ice cream that I just craked and I am really liking it. If the label is accurate it say's right on it No Spiking 100% Guaranteed. Profile looks good too. Are we good? Same for the Myofusion?

If you're not testing your protein after manufacturing it's of no fault but your own as a company.
