    need somewhere to start...

Hi everyone i am getting back into a healthy lifestyle i eat decent and i work out regularly ive been back at it for a couple months now. i used to know a lot about fitness and health but i fell off. ive been gaining strength and lifting heavy but i more want to get cut. a few people told me more muscle mass will help me burn fat so i worked their routine for a while now im ready to break off and really start dropping body fat. theres just so much out there i dont know where to start. im trying to get my bearings. i want to lean out hard and fast i just need a starting point for that. any opinions and feedback welcome thanks. i do have more than working knowledge of nutrition and fitness i just need something to get started.. diet and exercise plan or direction

If you want to "lean out" or cut, your body needs to be in a caloric deficit.
You can either achieve this caloric deficit by eating less than maintenance calories or exercising more.

I would recommend purchasing a food scale to weigh your food and track your calories through myfitnesspal, etc.
