People have complained about that scene but the way i see it he knew he was fuked either way. He first wanted to stick it to Jon one last time and figured he would just be able to take Jon down with the next arrow, then the one after...only at the end did he realize he was fuked.
And let's be honest how easy things were for him for a while there it's no surprise he thought he could still do what he wanted and go out on his terms.

doubt jon will do anything to mel since she fukin revived his ass.
And I also doubt Davos wil do anything either. He'll just confront her and look for punishment, but he knows she is the real deal and his only obeying the lord of light.
mehLook, i know i don't really know you and all, and i know you probably hear this like everyday, but your just so perfect to me. The few hours we talked were really great even if the convo was stale, your really pretty and chill, and your country thats just perfect :'D i really dont know how to explain it, but i think i have feelings for you somehow. i never felt like this with someone i just met, but i felt the need to get it off my chest. sorry for being all weird just idk how to explain it D:

Tormund yells "Run and fight"
Genuinely one of the greatest battle scenes I've ever seen, even compared with some of the masterpieces in Film. Unreal scene.
Was really hoping when Ramsay mentions at the end tat his dogs were loyal, Sansa mentions something about direwolves which resulted in Ghost coming in and killing all the dogs. And then slowly dismantling Ramsay. I need my direwolf fix1977

Off topic, but didn't the warlocks attempt an assassination even after Daenerys escaped the prison in Qarth?
I think it's the scene where Ser Barristan saves and subsequently introduces himself to her.
I wonder if they'll have any part to play, as they're obviously still trying to kill her...

thanks. yeah to me, this is definitely the best war scene ever. why? because it has so many physical aspects of war that other war scenes fail to portray. like the confusion in the midst of battle, the fear, the adrenaline, the bodies piling up, friendly fire, actual battle tactics, the gritty dirt and blood messing you, physical bodies, people being trampled, it just has so many aspects to it. it's not just one army vs another army.
There is only one Hell: the one we live in now.

If Mel thinks Jon is Azor Ahai(and she does) she's gonna do whatever the fuk Jon wants. Curious to see how that goes down though. I imagine Jon won't be very happy hearing she was responsible for burning an innocent little girl but doubt he rules to have her killed. Plus unless the writers completely ignore that line in season 2/3 her and Arya are supposed to meet up.

With davos now knowing the little girl died by her it may be game over
Davos also loved Stannis, always mentioned that Stannis will be the true king of the 7 kingdoms, he'd do anything to keep him alive. The red woman/lord of light put "demons" in Stannis' head as he mentioned this to Tormund and influenced him to make huge risks with his army leading to his defeat and death. Seeing Jon resurrected with his own eyes by the red woman, this may drive him to not really fuk with her. We'll see, Davos always had 2nd opinions about her

I'm pumped for the extra slotted time for tonight's episode. As long as it isn't filled with stupid chit I'll be happy
If it focuses on stupid plots (Dorne is my biggest nightmare) I'll be sad as fukPIPPIN: I didn't think it would end this way.
GANDALF: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.
PIPPIN: What? Gandalf? See what?
GANDALF: White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.
PIPPIN: Well, that isn't so bad.
GANDALF: No. No, it isn't.

I'm thinking that Ser Davos' pursuit for the truth might either break him and cause a turn for early retirement or a reprieve for reflection over the conflict of not just what he has fought for, but what has come to pass. On one hand you have the extreme measures the taken with the sacrifices, but then you have the lingering realities that did come to pass like Jon's resurrection. He's expressed in the past that he doesn't know what to believe, but what he can be sure of is all that is in front of him like the stag he gave to Shireen, who he treated more like a daughter than Stannis.
Davos is not like others who strictly want blood for blood, which makes him so much more different than most. Which has me wonder if that first reveal of Melisandre being old has fark will somehow come back during the finale. Unless D&D are total trolls, why would they show us her true identity only to kill her without addressing that? If Davos demands justice, she might slip something (not a tit) during the questioning that reveals more to the puzzle or she might say "screw it, I'm old and did a lot of bad things with the good so my time's up."
After thinking about the movie battles (and, pffttt, TV ones), Battle of the Bastards is my favorite as well. It was just so personal and was the most enthralling I've ever seen as it felt like an actual experience that drew me in the entire way through.
The combination of touches like the piling bodies and the Bolton Phalanx with that alpha grunting are so iconic in a way that is perfect for a gritty fantasy like Game of Thrones. It really makes me disheartened that no one could make a proper Game of Thrones game because all the current ones are quite awful from what I hear, or Telltale.
Also,
I really hope HBO is thinking about the prequel novels for a spinoff or are looking into other works. I know they have that Westworld show coming up, but good god I cannot stand JJ Abrams.
I think Neil Gaiman's American Gods is also in the works (maybe for HBO).I will stand firm, I refuse to kneel - The fury in me is divine
My dark grave awaits, my fate is revealed - But I'm not afraid to die
