Chest Press to Bench Press Conversion

I'm trying to calculate how much I can bench press based on my chest press machine I have at home.

It's football season and we're not in the weight room so I've been working out at home to cover for strength loss.

    If I can chest press 145 (I'm 14 so it's not that bad) for 5 x 5, how much can I bench?

I've heard the machine takes ~20 lbs of the actual weight but I'm not sure.

Can't even compare the two they're so different.

It could be more than a 100lbs difference easily, even with a plate-loaded machine.

    Forget about comparing them.

Ditto what everyone else said, don't even bother trying to convert or compare the 2. If you try converting the weight, you'll most likely end up getting pinned under the barbell or injured. Just get under the barbell. If you can do 145 on a chest press machine, start with an empty bar and go from there. You'll find that it's a whole world of difference when you have to balance the barbell and press.
