    Knee protection

    Are these necessary at all?

I have a history of dodgy knees, but nothing major for the last five years, and especially nothing (much) while bodybuilding...

I just feel as I get into lifting much heavier weight I should have them.

I have used the search function as well, but nothing too recent comes up.

necessary? depends, some people do fine without it. I could never go back to not using knee sleeves though. just keeps them warm and feeling good.

I like them. I'm getting older, and my knees are shot from skiing. The thick neoprene style (like Tommy Kono or Rehband) do the trick. I got some cheap ones off eBay to start, but the quality really wasn't there, and the thickness of the real ones do make a difference.

I wear them every time I go down. I hate having scuffed up knees from cheap grade carpet.

D---it! I didn't make it before the d--k jokes. Oh well. In b4 the Jelqmaster shows up....

Speaking of jelqz, 2More, you need to associate with a more upscale crowd.
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I always do my lowerbody of fullbody workout with knee sleeves.
If you want some to wear throughout the whole training: 5mm or 7mm which arent too strong (like SBD or Titan).

They provide enough pressure to keep the knee warm and help with some extra feedback.
