    Need advice on my shoes I use for squatting

    I have been using addida superstar 2g to squat for the last year or so...I don't know if they are very good shoes to use in order to get the proper form. They are basketball shoes by the way.

    you might want to search for shoe threads on the powerlifting subforum, those guys have run the gamut of all shoes. A lot of them have tried several different options.

    The type of squat you do also contributes. Low bar squatting for powerlifting generally favor flat shoes. High bar for Olympic movements usually favor a weightlifting shoe with a higher heel.
