my mother in law bought me a battery powered nose hair trimmer. it came in a VHS tape rewinder box. I thought I got the tape rewinder. she says "that's not whats in there"..opened it up in front of the whole family.

There are several gifts I've received which end up never being used and/or re-gifted, but here's one of the "worst" that stood out to me - I received a Christmas gift package from a friend back in college that was comprised of Louisiana hot sauce, and cigarettes. I appreciated the gesture, and man I love me some hot sauce, but cigarettes? I don't even smoke (and wasn't even a smoker at the time)!!

Jesus worst Xmas present was when I had to choose something from JCPenny and it was a memory foam pillow. I lterally couldn't find anything in a certain price range.

Awesome promo! Really hoping I get to try it out. The worst gift I have recieved would have to be some all natural protein my grandparents got me from seeing me use my protein powder so much. However, this was some random brand that was all organic or something along those lines and it was AWFUL! my sister in law buys really weird presents - the last 3 years i've been bought kids games (operation, buckaroo and some other crap and a tin of sweets). she buys my wife make up sets you'd get for a 6 year old, stuff like 'punk chick' that we just regift to my 6 year old cousin.

She got married last year and we bought her a really nice dinner set - dinner plates, side dishes, bowls etc. and i might aswell have just shat in a box and gave her that. she opened it, sneered, passed them to her husband and moved on to the next wedding gift. not even a thank you or anything.

she then gave us the set back and asked for money towards something they'd bought themselves as she preferred what she bought.

The worst gift I ever received occurred when I married my wife...I got a set of in-laws who are absolutely miserable to be around during Christmas EVERY YEAR! Their idea of giving us "gifts" is old knick-knack crap that they've collected over the years and "re-gift". Last year's shining example, a battery powered candle?! WTF would I want that for...The year before that was a mini-fridge that was in their garage they no longer used. We bring our "present" home and try to use it...the damn thing DOESN'T EVEN WORK!!!

yup a toilet seat cover.... We do a 20 buck white elephant game every year and some how I ended up with a toilet seat cover. Gag gifts oo how I hate them.
